How many trips you take to check on expectant Mom surprised me. With all the watching of calving time the past few years, I I didn't pick up on the number of checks you made in a day. The success of the birth is a great reward. Love the blue sky appearing throughout the day as well. It was a nice day all round, looks like.

My wife and I had BLT’S for dinner last night and the bacon was delicious. Thank you for the wonderful thick cut farm fresh bacon. I got a package of brats out to start defrosting, unfortunately my wife doesn’t like brats so I will just have to eat them all myself. Maybe I will share them with my grandson. (MAYBE)

Some really cute calves, that baldy is very special to watch for me, we use to have them, but got away from them, going to try and go back to them, soon. You are so right with getting the equipment that you can afford. Us farmers have to do what we can as cost effective as we can. Congrats on #7 calf! I have seen those gates that you can drive into and the gate drops down. Once a vehicle passes over it, the gate swings back up. Works in either direction.
