So glad Bambi finally had her baby!! She's been looking like she was going to pop forever! I missed her birthing date by 1 day. I guessed the 24th. I'm happy she held out till the worse weather was over and the barn wasn't packed with all the cows! Bambi is such a sweet girl.

Those videos of the children having fun in the snow are important to preserve. Many decades from now they will look back at these videos, probably with their children and remember the fun they had. This is how family traditions are maintained and past down from you and Erin to your future generations. You answered my curiosity about how much powerful snow removable equipment Wyoming DOT had available in your part of the state. Matt can now say he has witnessed two child and one calf birth. LOL

Congratulations Bambi, I missed you by 2 days. Most people East of the Mississippi River are used to 4ft high snow fences that are used there not the 10/12 foot high snow fences used out West. It's amazing how fast the Weather can change in Wyoming. Folks out there are tough and don't let any dang snow keep them from getting out. The miracle of birth never ceases to amaze me no matter how many times I see it . Bambi is a great mom she waited out the freezing blizzard and held on until it was nicer weather then she chose a nice comfortable place on the hay for her baby boy to be born on .

Very cool watching Bambi having her calf. It's amazing the "mother instincts" of cleaning her calf and taking care of him. Bambi is obviously very use to everyone being around her as she did not mind Matt tagging her calf. Very happy she held out for better weather, and you didn't have to use the calf warmer. Only a few more days of the 30 in 30 vlogs and my 30 in 30 comments. It's been fun and look forward to each video.

It was put out on April 26…lol but I’m just glad she held out until after the storm and all the cows were out of the barn. Kenzie, you have raised one smart cow. That’s for sure. Bambie and Inkie. Glad she had an easy delivery. She is terrific mom. Love that way you had a wonderful day after the blizzard. Had to stop video will be back. Congratulations McKenzie on Bambi's calf, sorry she didn't have a heifer but she had a healthy one. It's good to see the kids playing out on the snowdrifts. My mother and I used to do that when i was kid. We dug tunnels in them and made caves. We don't get those size of snowdrifts anymore. Miss them days. Congratulations Terry. Awe new babies, yay Bambie she loves you guys so much, lots of trust there. Makenzie is so stinking cute I love the joy she gets with the cows and how much she talks to the cows. Sledding is such a huge memory I remember from being a little kid, heck I even still have the slide we got for Christmas when I was 3 I think, it's one of the wooden ones you can steer.... Oh my, what an exciting entry for you all today! And, double excitement that Bambi had her calf, and it was filmed, so McKenzie can see it! How happy McKenzie must be, no more worrying about her cow. Great job of tagging, Matt. That calf really looked so slippery. Does the tag being put on the calf, indicate male or female? (by which ear you put the tag on?) I am getting sad, realizing that the month is nearly over, and we won't be getting daily entries. I realize its more work for you, Mike.....but, every day, I keep checking the time, around 6 p.m. EST, and am excited that now its about time for Our Wyoming Life. Glad that you received so much snow and hope you get enough rain to finally grow hay after horrible two year drought. Worked at a South New Jersey newspaper when we got over 30" of snow. They insisted to send out over 45.delivery.yrucks until the state police stopped them due to snow emergency. They tried to bring up freedom if press that gives them the right to deliver newspapers no matter what. Told them if they continued to use roads would lock up every driver for a few days. I went to work early Sunday afternoon and did not get home until Tuesday.Only bad thing did not bring enough food and all the vending machines were sold out. Nothing like eating microwave popcorn for two consecutive meals.

I may be way off base, but would there be any benefit to moving some of the drifted snow to the pond, or whatever the body of water is the cows drink from? I thought perhaps as the snow melted, it might help raise the water level even a little instead of just going into the ground. In any event, wherever the water from the melted snow is, I hope it benefits the growth of grass. Congrats, McKenzie, on the birth of Bambi’s calf. I know he is not what you were hoping for, but he is beautiful and healthy, and that is what is important.
