What I decided to use it for was indicate TOD (according to the simbrief OFP, using lat/lon). I didn't add it to the route, just used the fix page to put a 20M ring on so it would show on the ND.

I sometimes use them to create an extended centre line for self positioning when airports don't have proper stars

i was very happy to discover this new function a couple of days ago - i've been waiting for this for a long time. the custom waypoints could also be used (as a workaround) to build a DME ARC or when you have overfly-waypoints in your flightplan, which are both not working yet.

I guess you could create on your direct route, Say they ask to be at FL220 10 miles prior to BOGNA you could put the BOGNA/Your Radial from BOGNA/ 10 ??? Then eddit the hieght toi be there at FL220?

This will be super handy for places like Heathrow, where you are arriving from the north and there is no ATC it tries to do an overhead join rather than take you via the standard route :)

Hello, very useful info. How would you enter a pilot runway or custom airfield information that you could use as destination on the INIT page? I'm trying to enter an airfield in Antarctica that is not in the default navaid database as a destination.

In case I want to see in ND a created waypoint without put that in the fpl but just as a reference point, is there a way to do that? This could be particulary useful in non precision approach when for istance you need a reference point for turn. I suppose that it is not possible to add a created waypoint in the fpl if you have input a specific approach. In the sense that you can not modify a star or approach path. Am I wrong?

Why the FBW in several ocasions doesn´t follow the flight plan as other aircrafts in X-Plane?...suddenly the plan is following the flight plan perfectly and the changes automatically to heading mode and some waypoints dissapear in the MCDU...that happens specially in SID...thanks

For some reason my FBW A320 keeps tripping off the autopilot and auto throttle when in steady cruise flight. Maybe after about 1hrs flying. It has done it a few time. No idea why,

Hi JJ - whenever I encounter weird, unexpected aircraft/systems behaviour, I delete the aircraft from my Community folder and do a complete new install. More often than not, that fixes it.

Sim won't even load a flight with fly by wire a320, click fly now it loads for 30 mins till give up, other planes load in mins

Whats the format for Lat/Long inputs - is it decimal degrees? eg. S25.34/E131.03 - this is Ayres Rock in Australia. MCDU doesn't like this format

I would try the same format as the gps or irs menu before flight.
