Nice job putting that fence line in without the tilt bucket when you started I was thinking you need to get yourself a small dozer. Will look forward to seeing it all come together with all the plans you have moving forward
@kiwifarmernz2 сағат бұрын
Never driven a dozer so Im guessing I could get in lots of trouble with one ,🤔

@@kiwifarmernz well it would come in handy with the size of your farm and the plans you have plus if you did decide it could be a option Barry would be the one to help you.

Love the vids mate would love to see some more in depth breakdown of thought process when on the digger as to how you open up new tracks looks awesome

Thanks very much. Can do a bit more explanation as I have heaps of walking tracks to do with the little digger.

I've got welding and gouging capabilities to help out if you ever need. Corner of 350 tram Rd 1 Jeff's Drain Rd or can come to you with generator welder. Also plenty of scrap laying round for odd jobs. Have stock bridges sitting in the yard and animal shelters quad bike sheds

Mate, be careful with that digger on the hills, its no fun when they slide. First job I had we used to bite the balls and pull them out with our teeth, cook them up for lunch. Working on my cocksfoot options, interesting stuff out there , I will need to top every year by the look. We are really dry at present and the cocksfoot is going for it. Digger driver told me today it's dust for a meter down around here. Just another challenge when you farm these days.

He has a video from over a year ago of him sliding down a hill in the digger

Cocksfoot is great in the dry conditions. We found savvy from Agricom to be quite good.

@@kiwifarmernz I will give it a go, we are so dry here I will have to offload some stock in a week if there is no rain. Agent told me yesterday there is 20,000 hectares on the market just around here, too many difficult seasons, costs too high, income insufficient, kids not going farming, farmers getting too old. It's quite a list.

@@andrewj7994 wow that's quite significant. We are looking at rain this weekend 🤞. Hope you get some as well.

The hedges look smick. A real trim has to be done with the attitude that you can't kill it and I'm glad that you spent to look after those shelter belts.
