Let a mate use my 28 bore on a game shoot last week. He was completely blown away by how it performed. I havent used any tss loads as yet, but looking on some other you tube channels, tss looks very impressive.

Enjoy your vids. I’m over on the north east coast, also enjoying the wildfowing we have to offer. Keep the vids coming mate.

@@fishinglad1644 Lindisfarne looks great apart from anything else. We don’t have much pinkfeet decoying here. Something I’d to do more of. But can’t complain.

@@CumbrianWildfowleryes it’s a cracking place. I’m also in another club and have a lovely stretch on the river tweed. I’m quite lucky we have a lot of pinkfeet come here early on and have some good mornings on stubble fields close to the coast. I do fancy a small bore gun myself. Would also be really fun for pigeon roosting come February and I’ve got 2 young sons, so would be handy for me to get them started with a lighter load.

@@fishinglad1644 the semi autos in 28 are really soft shooting. Great for kids or sore shoulders but still deadly.

Nice one again as this gun is ideal for the evening flights asTss is the only way to go with the 'little' gauges, but can't see the point as it still works out expensive with all the extra reloading gear etc:- I just use true cylinder at night. The same with using moderators for wildfowling as the weather usualy whips the sound away. The sound with the 12 and even with my 8 never stopped me making record 'bagfulls' in the 80's and 90's.

I get it mate, and ive noticed this year how resilient the wigeon flocks are to 12 bore style bangs in still conditions. literally seconds later and they have lifted and settled again. As if its just accepted that it is part of their day as much as a peregrine whizzing through and lifting them. I make comment on it in my next video.....But Id like to use a moderated gun with subsonic as much form benefit as the disturbance factor. I hate the loud cannon shot of the 12 bore on my small marsh. I can also do away with the ear protection with the subsonics. Another big plus for me.

is it noticeable lighter than your sxs yildiz.at 74 was toying with the idea of getting a lighter gun for the shore.

Substitute the cardboard for an upturned bucket, doubles up as a handbag for carrying your gear.
@CumbrianWildfowler25 күн бұрын
@@dougieanderson2123 the cardboard is very warm and you can get flush with the ground. Nice tip but I’ve done the bucket thing. They either collapse or you get severely uncomfortable.
@dougieanderson212325 күн бұрын
@ very true but I also double up the bucket for extra strength and put a foam kneeling pad on top for comfort; proper fowling. 😂

if you think a 28gauge is a pop gun, or kids, ladies gun you are very much mistaken, with 24gm or even 28gm they are as effective as a 20gauge or 12gauge.

@@CumbrianWildfowler yes but looks like you were suggesting it’s a pop gun unless only using TSS shot.

Pop gun it certainly is not, even without the awesome tss. Try this cartridge through a 3/4 or full choke. NSI 28 gram no5. I've been a 28 bore fan boy for years and without doubt they are the best she'll on the market.

@@RobertSmith-qs8yl if I thought that I wouldn’t have bought it. In a wildfowling sense and without TSS not many would be taken down the marsh and wouldn’t be many peoples choice to take wildfowling. In that sense they were ‘pop guns’ said partly tongue in cheek Im sure they are very deadly with other loads on game etc.
