Yep, and iv'e been there. I used to sub work from a contractor and the pay was terrible. And that reflected in the work.Always wanted more work done for hardly any more money. One day he turned up on site and threw a strop. One of us followed him off site and watched him get into his new Aston Martin. Half hour later all 6 off us walked off the job.

Hej Rafał this is because of the builders carrying out the work dont give a flying f about the quality of the job they there to complete this because they're are all hired as sub contractors and not actual employees who work for the same company. No employment costs for firms like Bovis equals no sick pay no holiday pay etc for the contractors

Good work Rafal! A friend bought a home from Persimmon costing UKGBP250,000 which is only a small terraced block with 2 up and 2 down and experienced similar problems. Unfortunately our stupid government wants to prevent honest worker from outside of the UK coming here to do an honest day's work, in place of cowboys who take advantage of a shortage of labour, to do a shoddy job. These shoddy workers are shaming all honest building workers, regardless whether they are British or not.

The only time I have seen this in a new build was when the property was boarded and plastered before the house was water tight and it hand not had enough time to dry out. The leak in the roof tank sound like his best guess it would not have contaminated the whole house unless it was empty for months.IMHO.

i believe you have no idea what standart we have. i will surprise you , we have much higher than UK. from electric, plumbing structural work, fundation, insulation, . I have time since 2004 to watch what is happen here and unfortunately not much change , just more expensive property build cheeper .

In Wroclaw the only building that last more than 10 years without half the outer plaster etc falling off are the old German buildings ..don't believe all the bullshit about polish builders being amazing - u can see all over their streets how their work stands up to old build German stuff, side by side.. not very well.
