You don't realise how lucky you are to have rain, here in Italy we are going to have a bad drought 😢 as it hasn't rained or snowed all winter.

LMAO! I laughed with you so much listening to your frustrations - no worries - but both jobs turned out SWEET! It's Spring, right, so weather is always a challenge. (so says this American! I know nothing of UK weather) "Bye, bye money - WHOOPS!" (uh, yea, over-pouring is a b....) Nice set up in the Kev's van - maybe one day a full upgrade.

Nice to sit here relaxing while watching you in the rain 🤣 I have been putting off trying to pressure wash my driveway for weeks due to the rain too. I woke up today to a beautiful morning so ran out early, mowed my front lawn & my neighbours as he's nearly 100 so obviously struggling. Then I grabbed my Karcher which I haven't used in what must be at least 10 years, possibly 15, then started on the driveway. Took me hours as it was getting really black but I was so chuffed with the result after I checked tonight once it'd dried. Wasn't sure the Karcher would be able to clean it but the grime line I checked against was unbelievable. Also managed to get up a few spots of lichen too which was a relief. I actually put a bit of bleach down & then brushed it in - worked wonders. Then to cap it off I decided to wash my cars - one that had been sat in the garage since just before the pandemic - poor thing was a sorry sight but now looks like new, to be parked up for many years more. So I'm totally knackered & watching you do it properly 👍

No worries, Sid! You’re allowed to be grumpy if you don’t like wet weather, or miserable weather. I look at the weather is this rain cleans the air and cleans the earth and it also is the starting up everything growing. 😊 Great job Sid on both houses. My husband was born and raised in Birmingham in UK. We live in Wisconsin in US, and he absolutely hates the winter months.😂 ( we did live in Florida for over 18 years) I just grin and bare his moodiness. So when he wants to get away for a vacation. I don’t give him too much of a fuss. Thank you Sid for all your hard work on your jobs and putting together the videos! Take care of yourself and your family! Please always take care of them first.

What a pretty yard. I was enjoying how you are able to go/flow from topic to topic in your work. You have gained in skills and knowledge. O.K., you apparently were doing a trim on I'd guess a flat roof. You mentioned the black roof material itself was slippery. I don't recall anything like that before. How to make it safer? Would it have been something safe to wash? The patio was pretty with cleaning. The second job, how much the roof needed cleaning was a surprise, it didn't show as much initially. That was a nice color change.

Another couple of jobs really well done, Sid, but oh, when you first got onto that flat roof! I'm absolutely TERRIFIED of heights (well, being close to an edge more than anything else), and coupled with a slippery surface, my legs felt like a VERY wobbly jelly. Yet you don't even seem to notice it (apart from the health and safety aspect, obviously)! As for working on it - with your back to that edge - no, no, and triple no.... 😅 The traffic jam just put the icing on the cake for me. They drive me crazy too!

He'll have been booked in weeks ago to do the job. It's coming into Spring now, it's not winter so realistically there was a stronger chance of it being sunny/cloudy than rain. The home owner can't control the weather.

Surely the pointing on the ridge tiles shouldn't be coming loose when the house doesn't look like it's more than 15 years old? I had to get a new roof last year which was 82 years old; the cement on the ridge tiles was coming a bit loose in storms, but otherwise it had held all this time. (I now have new ridge tiles which I don't believe even have cement holding them in place).

Pointing these days is good for 15 years if you're lucky on area's of large scale developments, it's actually ridiculous how poor the quality is, valleys fall apart well before the roof guarentees. All these "newer" houses are made with terribly cheap and rushed methods, including the house i live in thats only a couple of years old.

@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning Considering there's been cement since at least the Roman times, and there's still 2,000 year old cement dotted around Italy... I don't understand how in 2,000 years we've not either improved on cement or at the very least maintained it's quality. Absolute madness. I mean... most of the time to mix the cement there's even instructions on how to do it 🤣
