Close one! Someone was smiling down on me reminding me to take 5 minutes to check inventory before starting jobs in future, that could of been a disaster! Simple sheet of ply will save you a world of pain! Bring back the big square concrete tiles for a bit i'm getting frustrated with all these chipped and slipped biscuit tiles lately! Enjoy folks!

Great clean but that tile breaking will cause a small leak as there will be no headlap for the tiles just below it.

I think that this may just be my favorite roof clean!!!! And I love that roof with the scallop tile accents in the middle. Good result ! I wish I had a father who was hands on when I needed it. ...........I then then thought "Sid the patio?" and that was a freebie which is good customer service. I had my clay tiles spray painted after a jet wash which is well worth it.

Lovely job Sid, had my roof done by a well known company a few years back now, i have a thermal solar panel for hot water, they said it wont be a problem although the guys did complain that they struggled to get under it, two weeks later two of the tubes got condensation in, sure enough they both were cracked, company denied responsibility.

We're in Canada and there used to be an asphalt roofing shingle with the scallops. The one we used on a house was discontinued of course, when we needed to re-do a potion of the roof.

I was curious about your location when you said you were an hour and a 1/2 away from your home. I was wondering if there would have been anywhere nearby that you could maybe purchase painters tarps or cloths or anything like that. Beautiful job on the house and the garage though. And I think it's really neat that you have the opportunity to work with your dad every so often. These are great memories. You should get some welding tip files. They are small enough for you to carry in your pocket, can get a flip out set, and they would be small enough to try and unblock the nozzles.
