You da shred-meister. I need more pedals now. Introspection is Pop-a-delic delicious. You are in a mondo-creative period and you know how to roll with it. Great channel.

I've had an Acidbox3 for an all of 2 days so far. I'm mostly working on a PC, but also have an SE-02 and OB-6 (as all people of great taste do! ha). Do you have any tips or tricks in making the most of the AB3? So far, what I think I'll use all the time is just the saturation in bypass mode, especially on softsynths. Hive2 and Omnisphere sound fantastic with it, especially then taking it out of bypass and turning down the 12db filter 1 to 1.5 of the large marks and maybe moving resonance up 1 large mark or so. It sucks the digital out. Or something. I think it definitely works best as an insert effect for me (I have it routed in and out of my audio interface). I also use a Keystep. I found that the LFO sync (after finding a small enough screwdriver) on the AB3 will be the key for me, though using a modwheel for the filter cutoff is fun. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the Sync out on the Keystep to trigger the AB3, though I can use the Gate out on the Keystep... which isn't great since then I can't also use it to play notes. My work around: Hello, SE-02! I send timecode from the DAW over USB to the SE-02, then use Trigger out on the SE-02 to the CTRL IN on the AB3 and it works beautifully. Downside: can't really use the SE-02 at the same time unless I program in a sequence, since the DAW starts the SE-02 sequence playing, and the sequence is what punches out the trigger pulses into the AB-3, thereby setting the tempo correctly. It's pretty amazing to change the tempo in the DAW and have it dynamically change on the AB3. More to explore in the coming weeks! Thanks so much for highlighting this little beast of a box!

I dont have an acidbox (yet) but I was wondering if you have or tried the Erica Zen Delay? Since it has a great sounding filter, now wondering to get it or the AB to do the end of chain. Makes sense to do the filter. DJs been doing this forever, right?

Brian Hurley haven’t tried the Zen Delay yet. Looks like an equal amount of fun though

How do you find guitar pedals that work well with synths / keyboards? I got one and it doesn’t seem to respond to low notes on my sub37. It also doesn’t seem to have very high headroom which I’m guessing is because pedals come before the preamp whereas keyboards are line level and have some type of amplification on board? Do you have to turn your volume down on the signal going into your pedals from a keyboard vs a guitar? You

@@GraffHabit you know... meant to say that.^^ ...........................................I would try out different levels (turning down the volume and checking pedal response). But I guess you already did that... could be a filter thing but who knows... There are plenty of recommendations for pedals that work well with synths including demos so you do not have to "constantly" send a unit back if it does not work as intended... but yeah that can be an option. If you are a good customer you can just buy a pedal here and there and return it if it does not work as you hoped it would.
