I just found your channel. I suffered terribly with menieres for two years and then had surgery. The recovery is hard and slow but I've fully recovered and have my life back. It was the hardest thing I've ever gone through so i definitely feel for you.

Serenity Snetsinger Meniere's disease is a rare disease of the inner ear. It causes progressive hearing loss, violent rotational vertigo, ear fullness, ear pain and sometimes tinnitus. I created a video that has more information if you are interested here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGG6gnqgj656aa8

Oh my God. (I messaged you regarding your video on your spouse spontaneously leaving you). Been suffering from Pudendal neuralgia since ‘18. Intractable pain. You just punched me in the gut when you said that when you break free from your pain cage…., that you will go spend time with lonely seniors in a nursing home. Oh my Dear. It’s so hard to keep faith when you feel that you might actually be living hell on earth. I don’t know you. God, the Creator, Angels …, the universe….; i don’t know what brought me to your page tonight!!??? Nevertheless…., I’m so grateful to have found your channel. I’m so proud of you and how far you’ve come and what you have endured. God bless you. You are in my healing resolution prayers from this moment on. You are a blessing in my life

I'm not familiar with pudendal neuralgia, but I do know what neuralgia is and understand intractable pain and my heart goes out to you. It is very hard to keep faith that things will get better while living through hell. I really understand that. I'm so so so glad you found my channel to! You are most welcome here! Please don't be a stranger. I really believe we need a community to help us through and when it comes to chronic pain and illness, we need a community that understands the suffering we experience. Thank you for your encouragement it means a lot and I appreciate your prayers! While I was typing this, I stopped and prayed for you. May you have the strength you need to endure and persevere through this moment, this day. Don't be a stranger!

I've been having vertigo since 2010 my doctor never put two and two together and just this month he had a light bulb click on and he thinks I have meniere's disease. I've gone to therapy several times and that doesn't help. I just started a job 3 months ago and my vertigo has gotten worse. I've had attack at work luckily my son works there with me so he drove me home. I had missed so much work this last month I'm thinking on quitting it I feel like I'm a burden there at work. I have a MRI on the 19th of this month to rule out any brain damage. I was told this is a autoimmune disease I'm not ready to give up my freedom just yet but there is days I can't help I have to be in bed I can't stand up for long. I get really bad tinnitus. What to expect from here on out? After the MRI if everything is OK my doctor will send me to a ENT. I'm already going Def. Sorry for rambling but I'm at a loss I'm still prossing this will my drivers license be taken from me? Will I have to go on SSI?
@IncredibleAnyway
@IncredibleAnyway 2 жыл бұрын
Oh Tanya, I'm so sorry our doctor didn't investigate your vertigo sooner. Seeing an Ear Nose and Throat doctor or an Neurotologist will be a really great next step because they will know best about vertigo. I'm so sorry that the vertigo is affecting your work. I understand how hard that is. I'mg lad you have an MRI. That is usually the first thing doctors will do when a person has vertigo (usually to rule out Multiple Sclerosis). I really encourage you to take one step at a time and try not to worry what will happen. I know that is easy to say and hard to do.I have not had my drivers license taken from me (I've had meniere's since 2010) , but I do not drive with vertigo because it is the same as or worse than a drunk driver. I don't want to put myself or anyone else in danger. I did not drive for years because of vertigo. It was and still is very hard to rely on others or alternative routes of transportation, but it is doable. Going on SSI depends on if you are disabled by your symptoms. It is an option if you find you cannot work. My heart really goes out to you. Please keep me updated on how things go. I'm rooting for you. You aren't alone. You can do this - one step at at time. Hugs!

Here's an update I no longer have my job😪 I had to quit because the job duties I was doing would trigger my symptoms so I had to make the difficult decision on leaving. At first I was ok with it but the next day I felt like I ran into a brick wall going 100mph I loved my job and the people I worked with but I got an overwhelming feeling that I lost a piece of my self my independence. Yup real life full forced kicked me in the gut. Good thing is I'm not a quitter I'll just fine a stay at home job where I can work from home.😁 my MRI is next week and my doctor and I will go from there. I did go see my therapist for my vertigo last week she kept saying I have all the symptoms of meniere's disease but the one thing that's throwing her off is that my face will go numb and my speech will be slurred or I have a difficult time on word searching like I'm in a fog and can't think of the word I want to say my doctor saw that happen infront of him at my last appointment he was glad he saw it but I felt like a fool and I got so embarrassed and emotional I cried. But I picked up the peaces and I'm looking for answers and to see what step to take next thank you for your encouraging words 🙏 good luck to you and your journey 😊 and I do got this and so do you keep up on keeping on. I would totally hang out with you. My life is SO similar to yours. I have a plethora of autoimmune diseases and don’t leave home without my rollator, cane, migraine meds, and sunglasses. Although let’s be honest, I’d rather not leave home in the first place. 😂 I’m working on getting a service dog for my mobility and PTSD issues. Need to find the best organization that will also work with the VA. Fun fun. lol

Nice to meet someone who understands!! Sounds like you have a full plate! I hope that you are able to find organization that will help you find a service dog to meet your needs and work with the VA. I imagine that would be a rough journey to navigate!

@@IncredibleAnyway ❤I’m in a program through the Wounded Warrior Project called the Independence Program and they’re trying to help me find a service dog program. It has been a lot. I had a TIA in June that added a lot of balance and mobility issues to what I already had going on and I found your channel when my husband and I started researching service dogs. I’ve loved watching you and Benny.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sad to hear that you had a TIA. That has to be so frustrating on top of everything else yo are dealing with. I'm so glad you have a program assisting you in your service dog program search. It can be complicated process, but so worth it. I'm so glad you are here!

@@IncredibleAnyway Thank you so much. I decided to go with Southeastern Guide Dogs the same night I made the comment about WWP helping me find a program. I was looking for programs again and came across theirs and they have everything I’m looking for. Please cross your fingers for me and if you have ANY tips for the application process please share them with me (even if you need to just message me privately) I’m begging! lol On a serious note though, I really need this intervention for not just my physical health but ny mental health. It will help so much.

P.S. I truly hope you get the outcome you’re hoping for with your upcoming Menieres Disease treatment. I just had an exam for tinnitus and the audiologist at the VA said he suspects I have this as well. I just laughed because of course, why wouldn’t I have this too? 😆🫠 I don’t think I actually do because I don’t have the crippling vertigo that you do. Anyways, I wanted to wish you luck because I know how awful it is to live with so many chronic conditions and terrible symptoms. You just need some normalcy.

This is really random but is your neurontoligist at UC? (Mine is leaving at the exact same time!) Prayers for you. It is so much to establish care with a new person but hopefully thai new person will get you taken care of. I had no hearing in my left ear for several years and you really do get used to it. (So much easier than feeling terrible all the time.)
