Another statue stolen from Native American Heritage Monument

There’s a trio of sculptures that sit atop a bluff. Near that monument, also rests a Kanza Native American. The figure once stood tall, depicting a hunt, with a beaver close by.

I would submit a guess that it was taken by scrappers looking to sell the bronze. Something similar happened in Wichita, KS where folks stole the Jackie Robinson Statue, broke it up, tried to melt it for scrap and then dumped it when they could melt it. Happy ending there, thought: A new statue is back in it's place of honor, the criminals were arrested and is now serving a 15 year sentence.
