How do Luke. Just wanted to add my thoughts on the latest video, for me the highlight was the drone shot of the IC125s as they slid gracefully through the Lancashire landscape. Sublime! Many thanks to yourself and the drone operator, cheers!

I thought there steam engine coming when that 88 was being dragged along 😂
@dizzy20203 күн бұрын
Whoever was last driving that 88 will have had a LONG chat with their manager! Network Rail will LOVE the damage dragging that 100 miles did too - the cost of installing a wheel lathe cannot exceed the cost of dragging locos over a nigh-on 200 miles roundtrip every time they flatten a tyre?

Was talking to one of the ribble rail guys over at Preston, the tankers are switching to road due to the refinery at the docks downsizing. Also the lease costs that VTG were charging for the tanks. However it’s not the end as there’s going to be workings bringing the tanks in and out of the docks to be cleaned before being sent for storage. Should be Jan-feb I was told!
@andrewwilkinson30223 күн бұрын
Peak sounded splendid Luke Funny these multi million pound locos and leaves still flatten there wheels 🤣
@krysspace440514 сағат бұрын
Great work, as usual. I was thinking exactly the same thing before your caption about the square-wheeled 88 😂. What is it about the Vossloh/Stadler locos that make them susceptible to square wheels? 🤔
@robertmilton791119 сағат бұрын
You can keep the Snow up there as I don't want it down here thank you
@keefr223 күн бұрын
That was indeed a really good one Luke, great variety of workings, but does any loco look and sound better than a green 37...?! Have to say the Peak did run it a close second though! Great lineside shots of it and the drone footage was suberb! Really enjoyed everything though!.

Great as always fella, when are they starting to put the OHL masts up that way, seen them as at Aston area but thought it would of progressed further?

Hi Luke I hope this gets to you in time but steam loco 61306 Mayflower has been diverted down your line and is currently at Marsden. I think the Calder Valley has flooded

Luke, the HST was oringally classed has a DMU in the early seventies until the early 1980s the claas number was Class 252, 253, 254 , does that answer your question From Tom

That’s just the frame rate of the camera giving that effect, just the LEDS flashing but it’s not visible to the eye
