Another thrilling integration as 4 little orphans join the troop with a Foster monkey moms

H&B Troop integration is not without its excitement, Percy takes orphan baby monkey Kathleen out to the troop and Millie follows carrying Tufty, Paulie and Mikey three baby orphan monkeys at once, will she let another foster mom look after them is the question
The Vervet Forest is a wildlife documentary focused on the lives of the monkeys at the Vervet Monkey Foundation in South Africa . We join the orphaned and injured vervet monkeys in their adventure and struggles as they battle their way through the foster monkey mom program to become part of a monkey troop again. This channel is for those monkey lovers who enjoy monkeys living their lives as monkeys should.

Every integration is so different. This one was amazing with the extended family being so involved. Millie is a hero! Always great to hear the joy and amusement in Dave's voice. Also enjoy hearing Mark's calm commentary. I love all the videos but I also really enjoy hearing the local bird calls, even the Cockerell because that sound reminds me of my childhood. Very rarely hear a Cockerell in England now 😟.

I can confirm that Mikey is no longer Paulie's backpack 🤣 ... he was the youngest of the group and he sought comfort in Paulie, but now they're settled in the troop he gets all the comfort he needs from the adult females, and also one-year-old Mara also looks after him.

I believe you see more clingy babies in those who lose their mamas so early. Mickey lost his mom very early. All just fine

Floki doing great and now has a new addition to Groomingdales in Rexie. Mrs Gold successfully took orphan Rowan out into the troop this season. Sorry to hear about your health issues, the bright is you get to rematch the last 2 year's episodes again for the "first time" 😁

These babies actually all joined the foster-mum group individually, so they were all separated.... only so much you can do, little Mikey just needed a big bro to help him along

I thought that when babies were clingy they had to be separated and one was left to bond with a mother, then the clingy one was brought back to bond with another mother. Were their special circumstances to change the protocol or did the mom just decided "Heck! Why not take ALL of them"? Full disclosure, I've been known to buy a pregnant cat with the intent of keeping the kittens...and of course if only 2 kittens were left, I'd take them both...So I sort of get the mom LOL

From all the videos I have watched over the years, they usually separate them and do an integration with the clingy one first and then introduce the other one. But this time, they let it go. I don't know why. They didn't say. Maybe the foster mom didn't care and they know the baby will eventually stop being clingy when it gets use to the troop. Of course this is just my guess.

They were all added to the foster-mum group individually, but Mikey wasn't quite old enough yet so he was actually the last added. With only two mums, as amazing as they are, it's not uncommon for the babies to also seek comfort in each other. He's just a bit of a special case but we knew he'd be safe and with this troop, it's just a matter of getting them out into the enclosure and the rest of the mums will look after them. He's no longer clinging to Paulie and is much more independant!

He's not as constantly attached as it may appear... at the end of the day we can't and wouldn't force behaviours on them, Paulie & Mikey have a special close bond and Paulie is like a big brother to him. Mikey has been through a lot in his short life, he got the hero he needed to get through the hard times and is now loving life in the enclosure ❤
