If you switch to straight polarity with that 7018 you can dial the amps down considerably while maintaining a confident arc without blowing through the base metal.

Oh yeah I completely forgot about that trick! Ive saw a few guys use that trick on a open root 7018 test I've had to do.

Haha most likely thanks man! I will listen to criticism in 2 scenarios, 1. I actually agree with what they've said 2. The person giving the criticism has experience doing the thing they're talking about and can back their thoughts with proof. About 95% of the KZbin criticism comments I get don't fall under those 2 scenarios.

I would like to see a video of you putting a lifting eye on that thermal arc. The winch is super cool btw. Do you have it attached to the trusses as is, or did you reinforce them?

The winch is tied into two trusses with a angle iron. I have a whole video of me installing it on my channel go check it out!
