Fast Imp Turks used to be OG strat back in the day due to free chem and free husser and faster gold mining so making husser and bbc along with bbts and most civs on gold and you bought what you needed in imp to balance... Similar with Koreans but they had faster stone mining and free tower upgrades and OG war wagons and turtles were BEASTs to top it all they also had S.O. which until after Conquerors Expanision made whichever civs had them WAY WAY more OP due to them being the only civs that could cut trees in swaths. PLUS, Monks mostly sucked at launch and first expansion rng was WAY worst and one convert you'd lose all your monks' juice, yes 4/5 makes for faster converting of 1 but now 4/5 sitting ducks and Micro'ing wasn't REALLY a think due to the LAG back then...

I know this is an old video, but why the hell would you go CA as persians vs a fast imp? Knights, mangonels, monks, skirms, anything else would have been better. But vivi went CA, and hera said CA would be a good response. What am I missing here?

Thanks for this strategy Hera. I tried few time and this is a success. But it take me between 27 to 29 minutes. And this easily counter those goths spam with Champions and hand cannoneers.

Great build, what was really impressive is how you were able to do so much damage with so few units. All it would take is one second of attention elsewhere and you could have lost your initial push. Amazing how you kept that first bc alive!

That $%&·$% lag error happened to me in one game. It is not cheating, but an error of the game, because if there is a lag for one player it should stop for every one.

i think if the relic spawn is good and you build first the monastry and then the siege workshop it is usually worth it to go for a monk to get one or 2 relics (relics give 30 g/min, so it pay back after 3min 20 secs if you even only manage to get one). Also it helps with the push with healing and maybe converting knights. Of course if someone invests into sc you probably want to skip monks, but even then you will most likely get the closest relic (also with that investment he is in a bad spot to defend the main push anyway i think) just my 2 cents

Bug - it's been doing that too me lately. My name appears as an enemies or an allies, but when the game starts it's my name and civ I choose.

Well it depends. Sometimes u can save and exit, other times just pause. There is always a solution, but its never perfect

why siege shop + monastery in castle? I feel like siege shop + university better. In imp may want to support the push with bombard towers, if it drags on.

A Monastery is cheaper than a University and it's a tight build. Plus, if the game drags on you're likely to focus on Relics sooner than you are thinking about something as expensive as Bombard Towers.
