Have a broken off copper transmission fluid line running to my radiator on a 66 mustang... You sir, have save my day!

I hope it worked! This thing saved me the other day. I had to use a giant cheater bar and ratchet but it got a broken nipple out of a piece of cast iron that saved me $250.

For all that is holy! Is there any topic you are not knowledgable in?! No, Dan, I did not know that tool exists, so thank you! PS: I pick PVC cut smell over PCB dust any day.

My knowledge of musical theater is definitely subpar :) haha. Thanks...and I agree on the PVC vs PCB debate!

Oh, that's what those are for. My dad and I found some in my granddad's tools and were wondering what they did.

That drop ear 90 is stronger than you think. Get a 1/2 metal shower arm and an escutcheon..little tape and dope. stick a plyers handle in the end and use your other hand get it tight but straight. idk why anyone wouldve used a mip adapter bc youd have to transition back to threaded for the shower head

Thanks for the tip. We have relatively hard water here in Florida and I've definitely seen them get weak from old leaks and I've snapped a few elbow ears off in my days.

Expandable plugs. Especially those designed to go through a full port valve to allow valve replacement without turning the water off.

I've used them. Those things are sweet.

It did not work for me. It came in a pack of 3. The 1/2 & 3/4 were to big & the 3/8 was to small. Any suggestions for something else that I can use?
@AnotherMaker2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes you have to put the tool in an angle? Like try putting the 3/8 in at a steep angle and then turning it while the tool is still angled. It will usually grip
@marianm73742 жыл бұрын
Trust me I tried putting the 3/8 at an angle because I really wanted it to work, but it was just to small to grip. But thank goodness I look on other videos another product that was recommended was called a broken pipe extractor. I just received it in the mail from amazon and it worked!!!! That product was easy and very simple to use it came out with ease with just twisting with my hand, that product is better because it tapers at the tip and gets wider at the base. But it's not so easy removing the thread from the extractor, but that's the least of my worries, I'll figure it out.

Kinda wanted to see how you undo it once its latched on.
@AnotherMaker3 жыл бұрын
I normally do just tap it although I completely destroyed one of these removing a piece of steel from a piece of cast iron. It was on my wife's heat press. Those two things are forever bonded together but getting that part out saved from having to buy a pretty expensive press, so worth it I guess.

@AnotherMaker how do you think it'll handle removing a plastic moen 1222 cartridge that's stuck inside my shower tub valve?

Will these work on reverse threads?
@AnotherMaker3 жыл бұрын
I doubt it...They may make a reverse version, but backing it off loosens the grip. I just used one of these the other day and put an unbelievable amount of force on it...giant cheater bar on a 1/2" ratchet type of force, and the grip held.

Why not hang shampoo on shower arm?
@AnotherMaker3 жыл бұрын
It can break the pipes...especially on the cheap copper we have in the US
