Anouk vocally is a force of nature, this song was her very first single from '97 (bought the album Together Alone in '98 on holiday in the Netherlands), she was huge domestically and tried to get a stateside deal in '01 to reach a more global audience, but negotiations went poorly and her confidence seemed to take a knock when she returned home without one. Twelve studio albums to date, I've not kept up consistently but tempted to grab some more releases now having been reminded of her.

Hahaha she didn’t get a contract with Sony because they let her wait for ours, and she get dronk. She was so mad that she sad she going to kill him. You don’t know anouk very well, het confidence never got a knock. She still don’t do anything she don’t want. She sing to pay her bills. And that isn’t often. She is a great person and taking no shit from any person for money

Shes from my home town . In the netherlands ther is Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and the hague. The way i see it and dutchie's can correct me on this. Is that Amsterdam has the rap. Rotterdam has the hiphop and the hague has the rock. But thats just me. As a dutch guy😊
