Anoushka Shankar ji is undoubtedly an eminent musician and Alev Lenz's voice is a tender addition to this Anoushka's sitar. :) Very tender song which made me even cry a little. Thank you - sincerely!

Kudos! N even i got discouraged by the low view count but this song is posted on a few different channels... one has 678K views. Still nothing... not what it should be with all the bad music on air these days but still better than 20k. So much great music goes unnoticed while bad songs make bad narcissistic artists bad millionaires. But its awesome to have people like you listen to good World Music ... You are Awesome! Hi5! Well wishes :)

The last part was always confusing me because it didn't sound like she was saying "Tell them I won", and it didn't seem to fit the feeling of empathy that oozes from the entire song. So finally I came across a page where it was written as "Tell them I walked your way" and now all pieces fit together, and I'll be singing it that way. 💛

A wonderful piece of music and this video makes it even better. It's certainly among the best videos I've ever seen. A superb album also, by the way.

Be no burden, be polite, say goodbye, and say hello Wait your turn, sit upright, go to bed now, sweet dream Find the kind heart, rest your feet and soul May your kind heart find the land of gold Pay attention, say your name, listen closely, and keep warm Gentle hands, you are brave, look at me, and carry on All is good, I love you, you can hear me, you can call Sing your song with ease and pride, I'll be there not far behind Find the kind heart, rest your feet and soul May your kind heart find the land of gold Tell them I won Tell them I won Tell them I won Tell them I won Tell them I won Tell them I won Tell them I won Tell them I won Tell them I won, your way Tell them I won, your way Tell them I won, your way Tell them I won Tell them I won Tell them I won Tell them I won Tell them I won Tell them I won

Reminds of Kashmiri pandits if you listen to the lyrics
@anishakeyz35114 жыл бұрын
Everyone adds their own meaning to good music... thats whats great songs have in common... they dont fill ur brain with 1000 overcrowded rhyming words of Rap n Crap but give you negative space so you can add your own meaning, your own interpretation, your own struggle... What happened with Kashmiri pandits was cruel n i sincerely hope those still alive ... affected by that tragedy Recover and Heal themselves... i listen to this song for sexual abuse healing... its my feminism anthem... the good kind of feminism! Sisterly Love... Self Esteem, finding that one person who can ease your pains away etc etc... Thats why i RESPECT Anoushka n Alev ! Well wishes n kudos to u my friend!
