Hey Rory. Cool stuff and thank you for sharing. I have a question/observation. Why doesn't the laser etch the sensitive electronics inside the marker? Or do you have the tool path set to not engrave the specific area? Thank you again, Spencer

Probably related to laser focus. That's why the feedneck needed extra passes since it's "thicker" than the rest of the gun.

ive been told alot of the guns customers have issues with whether its leaks or electrical probs are from guns that have been taken apart to be laser engraved. Its a neat idea offering laser engraving, but when a perfectly working marker from the factory is taken apart and then put back together by unskilled labor thats when the problems start. Remeber ansgear is a box company that resells chinese products only they do not employ air smiths. Also once that marker is taken apart the warranty is voided from the manufactuer.

You guys would make a lot more money if you allowed people to send in their own guns that were bought at other locations. Just have people sign a waiver if your worried about errors.

It can be a used marker so long as it is purchased from us. The additional fee for a used marker to be laser engraved is $50.

This does not go down to bare metal so a clear coat is not needed.

We can do this to most guns the only restrictions are markers or components that are composite and not aluminum.

As far as engraving for the mini gs do you remove the gauge or do you leave it on? Also does it engrave the asa at all even with the gauge on?
