Yes, this is the biggest problem in Bangalore to rent a flat , because 2bhk flats rent is more than 25k without electricity bill and other maintenance cost also, better option for a single person to rent a flat better to rent in PG with food faculty also, Bangalore is the most costliest city in compare to rent any flats, this is my personal experince.

If you rent at areas like MG Road, Wilson Garden, Jayanagar, Koranangala etc, then rent will be expensive. Try in areas like Yelahanka, Whitefield, Marathhalli, Kengeri, Bannerghatta Road beyond BTM Layout, it may be cheaper. But these days with city expanding, one cannot say.

As a native bengalurian i would say u shud search for flats along with a native guys or try to check if they know of any house for rents since they know wats the actual rates for accomodation and wats the best deal if u go alone being an outsider u will hav to spend bit more and it happens in most of the metro's

I remember being ripped off by some auto driver by 10x the usual price. once i understood that it was because i was not speaking in Kannad, from next time i'd book an uber/ola in advance and then ask the typical auto driver in hindi, then in English. ofcourse they'd be asking prices wayy above so then I just show them my phone and politely tell them no thanks. a lot of people from other states come to north for employment as well but you never hear about them treated by racism. Population has increased in bangalore because of companies setting up their office there because of cheap land (in previous couple of decade). as a northerner I wouldn't ask you to respect the culture here, of-course not everything you'd like and its okay. but If I'm trying to Force You to RESPECT MY Culture then that person is nothing but insult on that culture itself. Nothing forced is beautiful and respectable!

Abhi tou mei apko suggest karunga ki if you don't have a lot of personal furniture, then better to take a single sharing room in a PG. There is a sudden surge in flat demand and due to this rents and deposits have also increased. While living in the pg, you can keep searching around by yourself on your vehicle. But it's a slow and long process. Within 6 months you can come across something that you like and it is within your budget also. I am also looking for a flat in ec. But looking at current situation, it looks like it will take time.

I have my own house in Bangalore , so never had to go flat hunting .all the best . Its not easy to get flat in a residential area for a bachelor . We had tried to give our apartment on rent to bachelor what we were opposed by neighbour . Ultimately we gave that out to a family . Also people are not wrong . In residential area people are living with old parents and small kids . When they give out to bachelor , not that they make noises until morning 3 am , they even rash drive on bikes and scooty . They are a nuisance . Although bachelor cribs that they are not give flat on rent but what are they doing to adhere to society policy

Everyone wants to come to Bangalore for better career and higher salaries. But when the rent in Bangalore is higher (than in their native cities and towns) they start cribbing. Higher incomes will come with higher expenses - they come together. You can't select higher incomes but expect to pay the same rent as in Indore, Gauhati, Patna, Jaipur, Silchar, Nagpur, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Kanpur, Chandigarh, Visakhapatnam, etc.

50-60k is too high for a 2 bhk anywhere in India. One additional problem in Bangalore is that the flat owners are very greedy. They charge 6-10 months as deposit. Which is totally illogical.
