This song reminds me of my best friend. She used to sing this song out loud in our dorm (even you could hear her singing in the hallway). She was always sing this song every time she feeling heartbroken/broke up with her boyfriend. She got into car accident on june last year. A week before my birthday. I miss her everyday. It pains me to admit that I think about her more now than I did when she was alive. She was a very brightful and nicest person I've ever met. Hi, Sonya, I miss you so much. i know that there's a very small chance you'll ever see this, but i just wanted to thank you anson. thank you so much. I'm going to be completely honest, if it weren't for you, I'm not sure i would be here right now. i found your music when i was at the lowest point in my life. i thought that i had hit rock bottom and i wasn't sure i was going to win the battle. one night i decided to stay up until 5am even though i had to be awake at 6am the next morning. that was one of the best mistakes i have ever made. i put my youtube on and let it play through for hours on hours. i wasnt even paying attention to the music until i heard these words. "feelings come but they wont go, please wont someone take me home before i lose my mind..." i consider those the words that saved my life. i played broken on repeat for days after that night. i decided to look into your music a little bit, but the only song you had on spotify was robin hood. i was disappointed, but then i realized that it was just as incredible. i started looking more into your music on youtube and I completely fell in love with you. you may not know it, but anson seabra, you saved my life and i cannot thank you enough for that. your music is just something else and because of that you will always have a piece of me.

Last night my girlfriend broke up with me. We were deeply in love but our personalities clashed and eventually it led us to have fights on a weekly basis because of my stubbornness and her headstrong characteristic. Things got so bad that she was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and soon enough, I came down with caregiver burnout myself. I still love her a lot but I hurt her feelings multiple times and will live with the fact that I destroyed her heart and her dreams and blame myself for doing so. This song hits so hard on every level and I’m glad to come across it. They say time heals all wounds and I hope she will heal eventually one day, and find someone who can love her the way she wants to be loved.

Without that mix of love and pain I would have never become the person I am and I feel grateful to even the people who hurt me.
