Linden Hall in Northumberland has got to be up there as one of the best tracks in the county but has suffered in recent years and neglected - drainage work and the like however I think and hope Macdonald's hotesl are going to invest this year and bring the course back to the standard of years past. Europro events were held here. Take a detour to play on the way back frae Scotland. You'll struggle I think to play to handicap!. Most members handicaps seem to be going in the wrong direction; or is that just my golf. Give it a go; you'll enjoy.

Played it last year, instead of St. Andrews, where we tried to get in on the lottery, and what a fantastic alternative. This course will always be in my mind. Played par on the most difficult par-3 of the UK, so as a Dutch man I‘m very proud and happy to have been on this hidden gem. Thanks Anstruther Golf Club.

Liam, I want to play here... Grew up holidaying in Anstruther and played this course countless times and it never ever gets boring. I still visit every year and play here and at Crail so you've played my favourite two courses in the past week. The location is beautiful, as nice as any course you'll play and even though it's short, it can punish you when the wind blows. I've managed to par the Rockies before but that's very few and far between, usually take a 4 and be happy with it. The whole area is just a fantastic place to be. I would 100% recommend anybody looking for somewhere to visit to get themselves to the East Neuk of Fife, such a wonderful area even if you're not a golfer.

Liam another great video amd another gem showcased.... I suggest you head over west and play Belleisle in Ayr....James Braid classic and for number of years I recall itwas comsidered top municipal course in UK. There is also a 2nd course...Seafield...which is also tricky... These 2 courses are run bt Spith Ayrshire Coumcil who operate 8 courses in the area....and includes Lochgreen in Troon whoch was course Jack Nicklaus qualified on for tge Open in Troon in early 1960's. ⛳️⛳️⛳️

Liam. Come and see us at Balfron Golf Club. £30, on the edge of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National park between Stirling and Glasgow . View from the 13th must be one of the most spectacular in UK, signature 15th is a belter of a par 5. Course is immaculate and a fantastic story to tell of a phoenix golf club. Our feedback on golf now is exceptional, a true hidden gem, it’s a cracker and your viewers will love it.

@golfmates you should try The Shropshire Golf course..3 9hole courses so a variety every time you play 18. Not a flat course so a lot of shots are above or below your feet some really good par 3's and water hazards on the longer holes. Definitely worth a look and they are fitting top tracer on the driving range atm too

Meyrick Park Bournemouth. Here is a quote from Links Magazine: "Golf commentator Peter Alliss called this one of the toughest opening holes around and it’s easy to see why-an opening tee shot of more than 240 yards over a valley to a small green cut into a hillside. Oh, and there are trees on either side of the hole, meaning you’ll need one of your best shots of the day right out of the gate."

Yes! Awesome course. I got a bogey on ' The Rockies' proud moment! As fro where to go: Kinghorn "Best for under 20 quid (weekday twilight - you might even be able to get in under 15 quid)" . Mad little course, with tons of history, charm and QUIRK! Affordable too.

We also played here last September and absolutely loved it. The weather was gorgeous and the gold wasn’t bad either. Absolute bargain. We played Lundin in the afternoon which is also stunning… great series 🎉

I agree. I played this course circa 2012.. in pouring rain and gale force wind. On the 'hardest par 3 in Britain' the wind was from left to right (from the ocean to the course) . I aimed my shot towrds the ocean. If the ball went straight, it would have ended up either in the water or on the rocky shore. But the ball ended up about 30 ft from the green in a dip left of the green. I chipped the ball on to the green and made par. There was another hole where the (blind) tee shot had to clear tall vertical cliff

Stayed there once, was playing Kingsbarns 10 years ago. Didn't have time to play it, wished I had. Play Dunstaburgh Castle in Northumberland Liam, amazing place, Embleton Bay views. The 13th par 3 is special overlooking the castle ruins. It was also my last hole in one !

Cracking video Liam, cracking course for the price! When you come over here to Ireland, for east coast I would highly recommend Corballis Links GC!! It's a Par 66 but extremely challenging particularly the front 9 and has some amazing views of the Atlantic! For a parkland course I'd look at Palmerstown Estate, an absolute joy to play with some of the best greens I've played on! West coast I'd be thinking Old Head in Cork and Rosapenna (St.Patricks). Two of the best golf links in the country that will leave you wanting more!! Best of luck with the trip when it comes up, look forward to seeing the videos!

Liam have a look at Grace hill golf club just outside the town of ballycastle In the north of Ireland and also Ballycastle golf course it's shelf some quirky golf holes and only an hour from the ferry

Mate, if your down South play Hainault Forest lower course. £24 mid-week. Always in good nick. It has listed one of Peter Allis's favourite holes in it's repitoire. Cafe pre-golf, Liguines Italian Restaurant post with a few beers

Great place and great video Liam. If you’re thinking about places to go in Ireland, have a look at Westport Golf Club. Stunning scenery there (especially on the back nine, and if you get the weather) and it’s a little unusual - a parkland course in a coastal/links type setting. Easy to get to if you fly to Knock. No idea if they welcome cameras etc., but I imagine the publicity wouldn’t be bad! All the best.

Workington golf club it is one of the best courses in Cumbria and just outside the Lake District and you can see the mountains from hole 4 I have been a member for 2 years and have enjoyed every moment do recommend @golf mates

Great to see this wee course getting the credit it deserves. I played it 2 days in a row. On the 4th hole I hit driver 8 iron on the 1st day and Driver, 4iron and 4 iron the next. Also it’s pronounced An stru ther. 🍻

Baildon golf course or east Morton golf club in Bradford. Lovely course in moorland with some great views and holes. Not badly priced either and lovely food in the bar. Peter alliss supposedly loved the second hole signature par 3.
