Just read this, incredible … well done …. I’m the opposite … I’ve put hours and hours in, but I’m now so inconsistent, I can’t even bring myself to play more than once a week, because I don’t want hold up play or feel the frustration from my fellow playing buddies. Heartbreaking, but I’m thinking of not renewing my membership next year. Well done to to you though … so lovely to read ❤

Danny... I've watched 8-10 different pros on KZbin to straighten out my swing for Driver and Irons/Fairway. I always come back to yours. Everyone learns things differently depending on how it's presented to them. It' just depends on how we're wired. You've helped fix my driver problems (still working on distance but, that's ok). Now, I'm working on Irons. I've been golfing for 35 years and doing thing wrong. When you're young is easier to compensate but, now I'm 72 and don't have the strength or flexibility I used to have and unless I correct decades of 'wrong', I just won't be able to break 90 consistently. I'm working on my inconsistent iron striking and your videos like this one is getting me back on plane. Thank you.

I’m 80 years old and decided last year to return to golf for the physical activity. I last played golf in the mid ‘80s. Seems as if I’ve forgotten everything pertaining to a golf swing. I started watching numerous instructors on specific actions of the golf swing. Some were excellent, some weren't as effective. Watching you where you break down each aspect of the issue you are presenting allows me to grasp exactly what you intend for me to get. Thanks. Started last year with teetering breaking 100. Ended the year with 11.6 handicap. Can’t golf in the winter, so I make slow swings in my basement sing the instructions you have been providing. Can’t wait until the temperature gets to at least 60 deg F. Expect to be single digit handicap within a month. Thanks again.

I love learning about the golf swing from you Danny. You explain how to swing correctly in an easy to understand way. My handicap has improved 4 strokes over the past two years since I began to watch, learn, and practice what you teach. It used to be that when I swung the club I really didn't know where the ball would go. Now I am very confident that the ball will go where I aim. This is a very big deal for me and makes playing more enjoyable and consistent. I have many fewer days when I score 5 or more stokes higher than my handicap. I continue to recommend you to all of my golfing buddies. I see your viewership is growing so a lot of others must be doing the same thing! I cannot thank you enough.

I just want to express high appreciation to Danny for all the teaching's videos you share. I'm from Indonesia and after the pandemic, looks like golf (and driving range) becoming more and more popular these days. Less than a month with no knowledge and almost nothing to know on how to swing a golf club and yet, yesterday with 7-iron, I manage to get 106-meter carry with 90mph ball speed, and more (and more) consistence swings every time. Thank you again for your Incredible teaching technique and will continuously try to improve my skill from your videos. God Bless!

1:40 this is a really helpful video. I think telling people to hit down/compressing on the ball is a huge reason why we all (meaning me) had a tendency to come over the top. This gives a great visual in order to accomplish that. Thanks!

Another fantastic video Danny. For someone who tends to stray back too much on the takeaway, it’s great to hear that it is ok to start with more weight on front foot. It almost feels like a reverse pivot but video of my swing shows otherwise after watching your video. I also enjoyed your description of why long irons are more difficult due to forward ball position. Thanks again.

The 60/40 drill does work! So many of us hit "at" the ball, not through the ball. Using this drill to dial in the bottom of a swing plane is a game changer. Thanks Danny for all the weekend instruction which is THE most straightforward and easy to follow on the internet. Todays lesson is in the same vein. Just tried it and the key factor for me is keeping 60% of the weight on the front foot as this helps to stop moving off the ball, swaying. Dare I say, there is a element of stack and tilt in this technique.

Great video Danny. I've heard my local Pro' tell every new Student, 'golf is a game of opposites, you have to hit down on the ball to make it go up'. I believe right there and then he's made their journey so much more difficult because they now have the wrong mental picture of what they need to do. I've seen Golfers who've had lessons every week for months and still be hitting 'air' shots. It's a Shame, but thanks to videos like yours it might save a few from years of frustration and heartache. Danny emphasises the importance of more weight on the lead foot, and this one instruction is probably worth more than the many offered by others, combined. I felt perhaps the reason for moving the ball further forward in the stance for longer clubs might benefit from explaining the reason for doing so. It always seems to me to be rather illogical - if one widens ones stance for longer clubs, would not the fulcrum or low point of the swing be further back, relative to one's lead foot? And so, why does the ball go forward rather than back? And, if you do not widen your stance, why would the fulcrum and ball position change? I must be misunderstanding the dynamics somewhere! It is an inspiring video, like so many by Danny. I share in extending thanks and appreciation for his efforts to get us enjoying golf more.

Great lessons Danny. Questions: 1. (Nobody ever explained this). If after trying ten thousand times I'm still hitting behind the ball, shouldn't I just move the ball back towards my right foot and aim left? At least I'll get good distance from the solid strike. 2. How should I practise taking divots when I only can practise on a golf mat? Should I tee up the ball a tiny amount and try for contact with the mat after the ball? Thanks.
