The power of audio is as following: A dude posted a short clip of Witcher 1 game, Geralt standing in the rain in Vizima Outskirts, The Dike played in the background. I got teary-eyed. That's it. That's the power of audio in a video game!

Sound is REALLY important to the game. That's why The Witcher 1 had the best atmosphere out of all Witcher games.

If anyone from CD Projekt RED reads this, specifically anyone that works/worked on Cyberpunk. I just wanted to say that I saw the rough launch it had so never really gave it a thought. I bought it not long after Phantom Liberty came out but still didn’t play it. I did that mission where you attempt to steal that luxury car but was playing other games with friends at the time so I just kind of forgot about it. Anyway 5 days ago I just fired it up and gave it a go and have been so immersed. I can’t believe how much effort has gone into every little detail of the city where it seems so alive and realistic. In fact I’ve barely done any of the main story missions as I’ve been doing all the side missions and cyber psycho stuff. It’s one of those games for me where I get so immersed in it that the time just flys by in what seems like no time at all. I’m actually starting to feel sad and bummed out that it’s eventually going to come to and end even though I’ve barely done any of the story and am lucky enough to not have a clue what happens. Only assassins creed 3, assassins creed brotherhood and gta San Andreas has given me that feeling of sadness when I think about completing the game and not playing. It sounds weird but I hope it makes sense to some 😄 I may be tempting fate here but I was expecting to see a few bugs, maybe a few crashes. But so far nothing at all. No matter what I do the fps is stable, no graphical or texture glitches. The AI is good most of the time though you do see some funny crashes randomly as you’re driving. A couple of criticisms I have is the bullshit vehicle the games spawns on you if you drive at high speed. You can just feel the AI trying to hit you and it’s just stupid. Gta5 did it worse where the AI just turns and you can see the game just trying to fuck you over when ever you drive. But yeah just something that could be left out of cyberpunk 2 if it does come out. Also vehicle customisation would be cool. I was so hyped to see the sick cars and then kind of bummed when I saw there was no vehicle mod shop type places to upgrade the vehicles. Other than that I absolutely love the game. Its an absolute masterpiece that’s under appreciated because of it’s underwhelming launch

its kinda funny to me that they fixed every innocent and fun bug in cyberpunk like johnnys arm and the now impossible trauma team arcade game but left a ton of stuff that break ur game and make u need to reload ur save what a company🤦‍♂️

Thanks a lot for the hard work, i always felt tso driven to the cp77 music, sound, and always felt so immersed in the game because of it!! Now with the partnership with immerse gamepack, is even better!

Also, funny detail, I rememeber playing cyberpunk and was hearing this "flaps" like barefoot steps...and I looked down and i was mind blown i was barefeet XD The insane detaiçs into sound design in cyberpunk....love it

I don't know why, but it took me until this podcast to realise that the "Poland" which CDPR is from is the same Poland which Robert Lewandowski is from. As a Barça fan who loves RPGs, I owe a lot to Poland it seems.

Very few people will agree with me on this..... But..... I think I'd rather have no detailed information for the upcoming Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2. For me, games are becoming more like those movie commercials where you can pretty much figure out the entire movie (including the best scenes, jokes, and plot twists). We don’t want any woke politics in games.all games are meant to be fun and enjoyable not a battleground for pushing woke agenda sorry but i’m not so sure your games going to sell well and even if it does it’ll be sold on name alone the Witcher three was a masterpiece in my opinion sad to see the next installment probably won’t be all these franchises all these companies who are known for making awesome and fun games have ruined a lot of recent installments to their games and for what to cater to a small group of people in the end most of them only ended up with loss of money,loss of fans,loss of respect

C'mon CDPR, release a definitive CP2077 disc edition for PS5. I want all the updates and DLC. Ultimate Edition doesn't have it all :(

Does CDPR reuse the sounds? For example, you have a huge library built for Witcher 1,2,3 and Cyberpunk. But when you are building W4 or Cuberpunk sequel - do you have to start from scratch? e.g will you reuse songs/car sounds etc? Nice pdocast!

From more Production perspective - reuse is a very low-hanging-fruit type of action and in some cases may be necessary, especially if you have a small time window or you don't have access to the source material of specific asset, but you want to maintain the coherency. However, approaching this from a different angle - technology, game engines, ways to create and design sound constantly evolve. Very often the way you implement sound define the way you have to design your sounds and thus create assets. The very limited implementation methods that were okay / fine / excellent a few years ago may not be the best way to go now or simply are not effective and it is better to start from scratch. Another thing that needs to be taken into account is ambition and constat strive for something better and unique. So to answer your question - it is not that simple, but our Teams are very ambitious and we care a lot about the uniqueness of experience and we like to take the challenge, but still make the games feel like Witcher and Cyberpunk.

Witcher 3 needs an update to stop the hitching/stuttering. I'm on Directx 11 vers. and it's still barely playable. Rig is 4070ti Super with 14900k 64 GB RAM

If you work with Sweet Baby, Anyone associated with Sweet Baby, or any "consulting company" like Sweet Baby, Stonemaier Games, GaymerX, Black Girl Gamers, Quinn Titus, Anita Sarkeesian, Mendez Consulting LLC, etc. ALL of your new games will fail because you will lose any bit of consumer trust you have left. Including The Witcher 4, or cyberpuke 2. Nobody with preorder any of your games ever again anyways because you scammed everyone with cyberpunk
