You should consider taking the entire family to Florida several times a year. When garage sales stop in your area take a trip. The kids could still do their school in the mornings. Get a Uhaul to bring back everything you buy. You could hit the markets, yard sales, and stores. Check the rentals that would accommodate the family and during the off season you will get a better rate. You can buy groceries and cook at the rental. With as much as they have during your off time at home you will cover the trip plus make money.

I understand wanting to be transparent which is something relatively new because of social media platforms paying active channels that bring in watchers etc. But still, it is no ones business where or what your get paid. And of course your watchers are going to buy from you and if you did buy items to attract buyers on social media platforms, good for you! The internet can be vile so dont let the small minority of loud negative voice drown out all the positive. Anyone who doesn't have a poor mentality should be able to appreciate diversifying streams of income. If not, thats why they are still poor and broke and project on others that they actually envy. Im glad for all the people out there that look to share their success to teach, inspire and motivate others. There is zero value brought by negative opinions and tons of value your content brings. One of my high school best friends, who also has a Ph.D., also starting reselling as a hobby. We live in different states and sell completely different items. We both enjoy shopping and finding the gems. I also think of reselling as a way to be green, in a way, since there are so many products out there that might otherwise end up in the landfill. I reuse most of my packaging from my own deliveries and get it from thrift stores.

The issue of Busting your chops of the pineapple leaves me worried that what started as a joke amongst friends allows strangers to take it to far and say things they shouldn't. Your putting in the work for the social media and reaping the rewards - good for you ! American Pickers selling 1 million dollar worth of t-shirts doesn't make them any less entertaining or pickers. They are using their fame to make more money - isn't that part of the American Dream ? Ok Kevin enjoyed the conversation - take care.

Employers want to keep employees ignorant about salary to exploit their ignorance and pay them less than what they are worth. If a co-worker who is doing the same or lessor job and is making more than you are, knowing his salary will give you the knowledge to protect yourself. At my former place of employment before I went full time as s reseller almost everybody revealed their bonus, and nobody got fire. Remember, the policy forbidding revealing salary is for the benefit of your employer, not the employees,.

@@whodidit99 Oh YES! That is exactly what I was saying! You are completely right!!!
@jeremyphillips62297 ай бұрын
Today's day and age the way things are set up is a shame and in reality only benefits people who change jobs about every 3 years. Companies try extremely hard to keep us ignorant, specially long time employees who often make around the same or even less than the new hires while the company acts like they just can't do more for you. Your better off gaining some skills and experience then taking that to the next job and jumping your pay more immediately than the last job would of slaved you 5 more years to touch. It's the o ly way to effectively play their game. My last job I was at 10 years in a specialized position built around me. Yet we're hiring new employees for the same rate for the most baseline position I originally started at before growing the department and eventually becoming my own department. They kept me just broke enough to spe d years at a time trying to financially be able to take the next leap. Finally I left there and within an hour landed a job doubling my salary. That really freed my mind and was immediately able to start thinking about future possibilities now that the mountains I faced were now mole hills. Now I'm gearing up to set up my ebay store and an etsy store this year and will also be able to do my spring striped bass charters finally. Can't wait to be fully self employed by next year and a sole proprietor of 3 businesses.
@onemanstrash82337 ай бұрын
@@jeremyphillips6229 Congrats Jeremy!!! I am old now and look back on all the money I lost by being “loyal.” But in my day (I am 62) you thought your company would look out for you. Nope.. but they were much better to us than all the other banks. When I was younger I would change jobs once every 18 months or so because we got paid by the month in banking. I would make $800 a month ( yes.. that was starting salary for tellers in the late 70’s early 80’s) I would go to the next bank and say I made $1000. They would give me $1200. And so on.. you have the picture I bet. But when I got older and my babies were my husband and my first priority, I was a very loyal employee. As I said… 25 yrs at my last job. I had a surgery that left me disabled and had to go on disability for a while. They were very good to me so I will never regret my actions in that but I don’t encourage that kind of loyalty today. I tell younger people that ask this: Your skills and knowledge are all you have to sell.. GET THE MOST FOR THEM but never forget how much BENEFITS PLAY INTO YOUR SALARY!!

@whodidit997 ай бұрын
I think the real issue is the reseller KZbinrs who make more money from their KZbin channel, and make videos to get views rather than to help the viewer. I won't name names, but there are many channels that put out junky content - return or lost and found pallets, dumpster diving, etc- that are very successful but of little use to the viewer. I think it's great that you make so much from social media. You put out great content, despite the temptation to pander to the newbie resellers who are the main audience for reseller channels. One suggestion: PLEASE do not use those cheese stock video clips. So many KZbinrs use them and they are really cheesy.
