I am 73 with great skin (had lasers in the past and used Retin-A since I was in my early 30’s and using Vitamin C for at least 10 years), my question is…. Can injection of Voluma and Sculptra still have results at my age? I had a series of Sculptra last year over several months and I believe I had some improvement… took pictures… but I don’t know if I am really seeing the same results as I saw years ago. I read that after a certain age these types of injections don’t work or last. What is your honest opinion? Thank you for all of your extremely helpful videos. Wish you were in Florida!

Just ordered my second Mdaire eye cream. It’s pure gold. Best ever. Dr Kappell, what is the best CO2 for under eye laxity and wrinkles? Is fully ablative better at tightening and thickening the skin than fractional? I don’t mind about down time.

Dr. Kappel, what is your opinion on facial fat transfer? Thanks.
@moonlightlegend85022 ай бұрын
I'm 42 now and although I have oily skin and larger pores, I don't have any wrinkles. I have noticed some volume loss though. I was told that I'm ot eligible for ablative laser because I have fitzpatrick 4 skintone. I was wondering if treatments like Tixel and Microneedling RF actually have a comparable impact to something like fraxel or c02 laser for darker skintones.

Dr. Stephani, you always tell us how good Fraxel laser is for skin rejuvenation, you got me interested in having a laser treatment. How do you know what the right setting is for a patient? ? What should a laser provider do before choosing the right setting? Do you just look at the skin of a patient and you already know ?
@DrStefaniKappel2 ай бұрын
It depends on many factors but an astute laser surgeon will know by looking at the skin and watching the endpoints of the laser

I had the same issue many years ago when I tried it. After seeing her I follow the advice to start with the lowest concentration cream (not gel) mixed with equal amount of her NMF hydrator only once a week and then increase the frequency slowly to determine my skin tolerance. I also use her skin cleanser because is so gentle. In 4 weeks I got to twice a week without any irritation. I only wish I knew this trick sooner.

I love you. I'm a dietitian and I understand science and I'm obsessed with skin and nutrition and this stuff just lights me up. I love love LOVE learning about this. So excited to start getting lasers next year. I'm saving up my pennies. I'm 36 and I haven't had a lot of the effects of aging yet. People think I'm in my early 20s but I've really looked after my skin with simple zinc and good skin care. Question Doc. I'm Aussie and I live here in Australia. Do we need a higher level of zinc and iron oxides with our harsh sun? Most of ours here is 21% or higher but it's so heavy on the face! Don't get me wrong I've been using it for 20 years and I'll keep using it if I need to. But I've noticed that the mineral sunscreens from the US is much lower. What do you think, beauty? Xx❤❤ thank you for all you do. I'm obsessed with this content from an educational standpoint x
