I am loving your different style of videos. You have taught me so much about my skin, that I feel like I've perfected what is best for me (the beauty and curse of your great education). Thanks for all that you do! You saved my skin when I was working at Starbucks and wearing a mask full time.

My favorite tip for picking, or preventing you from doing it is doing your skincare under candlelight! Of course be safe when you’re using a candle in your bathroom - or maybe use a Himalayan salt lamp plug in lamp? Point is that you can’t pick if you can’t see what you’re trying to pick at 😅

Thank you so much Hyram for all your content! Especially on the Skinfix barrier cream, its amazing and basically a dupe that cost half the price of skinceuticals 242 cream. You convinced me that affordable skincare can be as good and even better than luxury skincare products! Save me so much money, thank you!

I have the skin picking disorder called Dermatillomania and It’s a real struggle. All the tips you gave here are fantastic Hyram (especially the pimple patches and fidget toys)!! I’d also add, for anyone who likes wearing acrylic nails, wearing these in a rounded shape helps too (you can’t pick). ❤️

Hyram! You're so lovely. Please know that burnout is no small thing. We hear a lot about burnout these days because, well, a lot of us are having trouble keeping up and it's hard stuff. But bad cases of burnout can be absolutely life-altering and sometimes take months and years to recover from. And it's life-altering; often it drives people to completely restructure their lives for their energy, mental health, focus, motivation, etc to be more sustainable over time. So I hope when you say you're trying to be easier on yourself about how you're handling it and recovering from it - I hope that you mean it. Because you're doing incredible!

I have a thing with my scalp too… for some reason every time I wash my hair, my scalp breaks out. It has been doing it for years. And what winds up happening is I run my hand through my hair and find the breakout, and then I have to pop it. I don’t pop pimples on my face anymore, but I am obsessed with the ones in my scalp. So much so that I will catch myself running my hands through my hair over and over, trying to find more of them. Or I will go back to ones I have popped before to see if they can be popped again. At least it is my s alp and not my face…

I struggle with skin picking, I do it when looking at myself in the mirror like Hyram says, but also when Im on my phone or laptop watching videos I scratch at my skin a bit and when I feel a pimple I feel the need to go to the mirror to pop it. I recently discovered castor oil and I see it has helped with skin picking! Because it is greasy and so whenever I touch my face I have greasy fingers which is annoying but good because it discourages me touching my face! Also I learned about amazing benefits of castor oil so it is wonderful

to add to the skin picking, magnified mirrors will have you going at your face for HOURS! you’ll be picking at clogged pores that look huge when in reality, you’ll just be left with a red spot that no one would’ve noticed in the first place

I pull at my eyebrows a lot and it can be pretty bad. I can’t stop. And I can stop for a little while but then I get back to it. But as soon as I touch my eyebrow I say out loud “stop stop stop stop stop” quietly and take my hand away. It kind of breaks the spell.
