I've always placed higher value on my time spent in the "front rooms." If the tours are light, I'll smile and tell the staff I'm gonna be here for awhile. Stand there long enough and you'll find you suddenly have the place almost to yourself.

There were great questions and I loved the answers you gave as well Ashley. Amazing photo's as well. Wonder why Elvis had the ladies have their own bathroom and not use his? Interesting, but yet, I think I could see that maybe he just wanted them to have their own space to get ready in and not be in his. Everything about Elvis is so dang interesting! I love these Q&A's! And yes, I believe Gladys' spirit hung in Graceland after her passing, so that isn't surprising to me. Thanks for all you do Ashley!

Thank you Ashley for answering my questions about Lisa Marie's canopy bed. I really wish I had saved that magazine from long ago.😉😀 Just from seeing it with the brown or black furry comforter on her bed might make sense of why I thought that. I probably did dreamed it up when I was a little girl, but I could have sworn that's how I seen it. Funny how your mind works, especially when you start to getting older. Hahaha...!! 😆😆😆🍔🍔🍔 Anyway, Thank you so much Ashley!! You always do a great job. I loved all of the pictures and the stories behind them. Love it!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Bonnie! I loved your question and memory. The mind is funny - it fills in gaps, I know that’s happened to me before! I searched for any hamburger bed in the 70’s and only came up with a sewing pattern for hamburger accessory pillows with fries. I hope we can get to the bottom of the mystery!

I had to comment about the chapel in the woods. It is beautiful. Back in 2019 while staying at the Guesthouse my husband and I took the walkway down to the chapel and to our surprise they were in the middle of filming “Wedding at Graceland” there. Lee Brice, who is a country singer from our hometown was there because he had a small part in the movie. Long story short- everyone who wandered back there was turned away by film crew but because of our connection to Lee we were allowed to stay and watch a night of filming. We took pictures with Lee and got to hang out with Kellie Pickler’s husband (who is hilarious, btw). Anyway, super cool and totally unexpected ending to our Graceland trip that year. As usual, great video Ashley! Thanks for all you do! ❤️

We got married in the original chapel in the woods during Elvis Week 2002. We were even interviewed by CNN on the paved area opposite the front door. The chapel was not far from where the trailers were and we walked through the side gate to where the house is to have some of our photos in front of the house. We were supposed to go to liberty land in the evening but torrential rain stopped us going.

There was a hamburger bed designed exactly as described in the Esquire Magazine in the 70's. The article only says it was built for a celebrity, but doesnt say who. There was also a woman named Lisa Johansen who claimed Elvis was her father and she lived at Graceland until she was sent to Sweden. She claimed Elvis bought her a round shaped bed that was nicknamed the hamburger bed.

I have a couple questions if it's ok. I read Elvis' birth home in Tupelo has been relocated a few times. Would it be possible to find the original location when Elvis lived in it and the other locations? Other question: Did Elvis ever consider having DJ Fontana and Scotty Moore join him on stage during the 70's while he was touring around Nashville, or even record a new album with them, redoing his 50's songs?

@@ashleysadventures There has been articles about Gladys in Graceland for years. I "wondered" if that was one of the "reasons" Elvis read about so many different religions. There has been old article(s) through the years about Loretta Lynn's mansion being haunted by Civil War people, also. There used to be a youtube video about it. I "thought" one of Loretta's family members would DOCUMENT the ghosts; the mansion was used as a hospital where many shoulders died, there was a cemetery on her property also. Most of Loretta's siblings have retired from entertaining and they have time to Research, take pictures, and WRITE A BOOK. Maybe put up a small HISTORICAL "sign"? ? ? IF the Loretta Lynn's mansion haunting is still on youtube. WATCH IT! The ghosts are non-threatening and like to bug the housekeepers, I'm "sorry". Parts are funny. WIFanCrystal

@@ashleysadventures I just checked youtube on Loretta's Haunted House. THE ORIGINAL I seen many, many, years ago isn't on there. All the newer ones have people saying about everything the ORIGINAL Documentary said, EXCEPT that HOLE in the cement porch/?near that door? ? The ORIGINAL Documentary had the Tour Guide WONDERING "why" that hole was there into the basement. Slaves kept there. NICE TO SEE LORETTA'S FAMILY HAS DONE RESEARCH ON THE HISTORIC PROPERTY; she won't have to write a book, now. [SMILES] The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel; built in 1926; 12 stories, 300 guest rooms; 63 suites. Was RESTORED back to original Spanish Colonial Architecture. I believe this Hotel was on the ORIGINAL A&E channel many, many years ago, also. Marilynn Monroe, Montgomery Clift, Errol Flynn, a little girl in a blue dress named Caroline, still "scares" housekeeping" staff. There are cold spots, photographic orbs, mysterious phone calls to the Operator. Loretta said her Father was Cherokee Indian and the Indians always seemed to know when something was going to happen. I read Loretta's First Book about her life. The Movie was very different. In the book it said Clara had "dreams", something going to happen. I never understood THAT! Until the CRAIG JOHNSON'S books started being made into a TV series [Longmire]. I BOUGHT most of the books and LOVED reading them. Craig Johnson RESEARCHED the Indian Tribes, WELL. Walt Longmire had a Spiritual connections with the Tribes. When his Sheriff's job got him into "trouble", looking for the bad guy(s); those Native Indians that passed came to him to help him, encourage him to not give up and die. "miracles". You can't film those "miracles" the way Craig Johnson describes them. I FINALLY UNDERSTAND Loretta's mother's ?"gift"? ? Graceland, Hurricane Mills, and the OLD Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, Los Angeles are the only ones that has been True hauntings and as Loretta says: she's not scared of them, they can live in the house. [SMILES]. CHUCKLING; I wonder if Loretta went through a lot of housekeepers/cleaning personal through the years? ? Nancy Rooks said she was told about Glady at her first interview and to just talk to her and say; Elvis will be home soon. . . .what ever he was gone a long time for? ? Making the Movies, long Tours and Gladys would settle down. WIFanCrystal

Ooh this is fun. I’ve stayed at all but Big Cypress. Man, it really depends on what your plans are. If you plan on more than just Graceland, you can count on Peabody to be historic and beautiful.
