To this day I still have difficulty understanding the concept of "freestyle" for dance in auditions. Is it what?Just, they put any random song and you'll have to dance on the spot relying on your skills and ability to "feel the rhythm"?Or you make a choreography yourself(beforehand) and just give them the song/music you choreographed for? I understand "freestyle" with rap but don't know if it's the same thing for dance.

feel the rhythm is correct. if you prepared something before, it wouldn't exactly be freestyling. And they will usually play an old song from their own copmany (so sm could play an ses song)

I actually do want to audition especially for SM. Though the only thing is I'm not sure if they'll even consider me or something. I honestly do love singing and dancing therefore I always do them during free time. I'm not korean either but because of this dream, I started searching lessons and using duolingo to improve my skills. I'm not confident but there's something telling me to not give up. My parents want me to be a doctor so I'm not sure if they'll allow me. I can say is i'm not that pretty either. But if there's an opportunity, i'll gladly try my best. Thank you for this, i'll remember this and improve myself. For the others having the same dream as mine, don't lose hope and you are doing your best! Hey, about the tickets... man I know the companies cant pay every single trainee but for example in my case, My mom is my only family, she lost her job last year, as anyone we have debts and I live literally in the other side of the world (Ecuador), for me the ticket is from $1300 to $3000 in tourist, and it can get higher or lower depending on the date but... it's 2 expensive, I wonder if they would help.

“Can non-korean pass?” Even most of the koreans that did the audition also didn’t pass like foreigners (asian or not). I think it’s not about nationality but the potential that you can show to impress the judges. It’s just that the majority of Kpop idols, are koreans because it’s their music. It’s “KPOP” as what stated in itself. Which is normal, The majority of the artists in American music are americans. The majority of idols in Philippine music are filipino. “Each music inudstry in every country should atleast dominated by the nationalty of the music origin itself”.

they look for specialties that YOU have. If you can't hit high notes, don't do it.

@@LuvieIrene I didn't say fasting, I said *intermittent* fasting. There are many ways to do it, but the one I think is most viable for most people is having the 8 hours window where you can eat, and then 16 hours where you fast. So basically, I don't eat breakfast and don't eat late in the evening/night.My 16 hour window is mostly when I'm asleep so there is no problem. Also, of course that when there is the "feeding window" it's best to pick foods that are nutritious/nutritional so you won't feel hungry later.It's all about being responsible and knowing how to pick the right things for your body. This also helped me realize how most of the times I ate it wasn't because I was hungry, but because I had food around and _thought_ I was hungry. It was also because I didn't drink as much water so I confused feeling dehydrated with being hungry.

6:30-another group just debuted with 2 non-Asians. Nia who is Italian (I think) and Miriam who is Spanish (I think)-they maybe switched as I only discovered them yesterday-debuted in a group called Prisma under UnderWave Entertainment (I believe)...so more non-Asians are slowly debuting in Korean groups.

8:00- to answer that more, ex-trainees have stated on Quora that you normally sign a contract for 3-5 yrs when you become a trainee. This is to ensure that you may become an idol before those years are up. If you don’t debut, then you are free to leave without having to pay. But if you leave during this time, you have to pay. If you debut, then you sign another contract that’s normally 7-10 years. This all depends on the company tho

on Quora, there are so many people who claim that they are "ex-trainees" and such, but you seriously cannot trust all of them. And the trainee contract is much longer than 3-5 years.

17:20-I have over 20 that I’ve researched and chosen. Too bad I didn’t know about asking questions cuz a big on for me would be: How many companies should I audition in a month? So what I mean by that, is should I audition to 5 companies one month, but 3 the next? Cuz I’ve heard conflicting opinions on that.
