I've bought roughly 90% of my quad-related stuff from Banggood (and a 3D printer!). Up until now I've had minimal issues with them. Like you say, it makes the hobby easier to get into (I only started last June). My one gripe at the moment is that a lot of the stuff they sell I can't get shipped to the UK. I don't know if that's general shipping issues, or Brexit related. As long as you understand that there's likely going to be a reasonable amount of time between you clicking "Buy" and getting the items through your door, then I have no qualms using them. Others would say you should try to buy local to support the hobby shops where possible ... and I'd like to, but sometimes I can't afford to pay full-whack on something in this hobby! I see other KZbinrs also using Banggood, or at least sharing their discount codes (Bardwell, Andy-RC, Painless360 to name a few)

Another great video! i'd like to add something no one told me when i switched to 6s, it gives you this increased throttle resolution feeling that i didnt get on 4 and 5s. it makes you feel more in control of the quad and is definitely a confidence booster, especially in pulling out of a big dive

Man that's really interesting because when I started flying freestyle on 6s, as soon as I got used to the throttle after a few packs I felt way more confident then I did on my 4s quad. That totally might have been part of the reason for it.

I've liked it for some things. I just finished my first quad build this morning and had parts from Banggood, RDQ, GetFPV, and Pyrodrone. Other than when one of the others offered free shipping, Banggood was cheaper shipping. Although Banggood was out of a few parts I wanted, someone else had it in stock (thus the four retailers for 1 build). So stoked to have my 3" Armattan gecko built though!

For beginners, I always recommend to start with a good sim, then get a 6s quad and some 4s batteries. Whenever they feel comfortable, switch to 6s power. It worked well for my son.

Banggood was where I first started buying quads. I’ve used PayPal for some added security, vs a straight credit card. Lately, US based dealers are comparable price wise and delivery is in days, not weeks. On a humorous note, BG put me on their mailer and they really push “Fleshlights”. It’s on the front page of the ads I got. I guess that’s a bigger seller than quads...

Banggood has been really nice for me so far. For example when ever an item was broken while shipping i contacted support, send some pictures and got an e-mail the next daying saying they will setup a refund. Or i also didnt recieve a package once while the track and trace said it had been deliverd. Same story contacted support and they could either re-ship it or send me a full refund. So for me it has been a really great experience, the only downside is shipping times. So if you dont mind the shipping times then banggood can safe you a lot of money on some bits. And like i mentiond about i am not scared at all of lossing money or something since they always try and help me out as best as they can!

I still use my 4s batteries on my 6s quad if I feel like doing some slow cruising. It'll still give you like 5/6 minutes flight time en smooth movement if you are trying something cinematic. I'm using HW 2306 1750KV

A good tip for new pilots is to buy/build a 6s quad and fly it with a 4s battery. It will be significantly slower and easier to learn on, it will also fly for alot longer . Then when you feel ready , stap a 6s on a rip wholes in the sky.

The motor output limit is a bit less efficient than just buying motors of the correct kv for 6s. 6s is just inherently more efficient than 4s, giving it the increase in flight time. I was once ordering from getFPV. I'm from Europe (poland) and shipping took like 5-6 months... and u know... it's super long. So after month from ordering from getFPV i found the same thing on banggood and they shipped it in like +-10 days from China. So from my experience banggood is a good marketpalce from ppl outside america. Honestly spent months watching your vids and getting ready for my first purchase only to find the DJI FPV goggles recommended are unavailable. Any idea you or your commenters have any insight into where all the HD FPV goggles went? V2 was announced a few weeks ago yet no stock a Banggood or anywhere else. Yeah unfortunately the V1 goggles were discontinued a while ago. Seems super weird to stop producing them so early before the new ones come out but it seems that's what happened. Current predictions are saying the new ones will be released this month... But who knows.

Hey, you gotta differentiate between mAh and Wh when comparing 4s to 6s (mention that in your video, a lot of beginners aren't aware of that). There is almost no difference in flight time with the same Wh (energy). Watch JBs video in that discussion. But of course there is more power through simply more voltage, although the max rotation is basically the same with equalized kv. Also from my experience 1800kv are very much enough for 4s battery's for light freestyle if you want to save money as a beginner or just want to fly longrange, because 4s are often lighter at same Wh (Energy stored).

A very important factor is also PayPal payment - it means that we have the right to start disputes when we are not happy with the item provided. Of course there are some drawbacks - for me the biggest one was ordering DJI FPV goggles in September the delivery was pointed to December and after 4 mths of waiting they informed me that the order is canceled - till now I have 6 Vista quads and no DJI Goggles.... But in general, they do really perform OK.

Banggood is OK, But they need to learn how to package items for shipping. Almost every package I receive from banggood looks like its been delivered by a soccer team. I realize that isn't Banggood's fault, BUT if they used some bubble wrap or foam wrap on the items it would at least have a chance to make it here undamaged. They just put the item in a plastic bag and send it off.

Yup! As people mentioned in the comments too, apparently you can buy 6S batteries and just limit the motor output of your 4S quad in betaflight to have them spin slower. I've never tried that though so I can't confirm if it will give the exact same performance. Maybe someone else can confirm that?

This video really struck home as I have a 4S nazgul5 HD and kinda wish it was 6S. I see that the fc and esc are 6S compatible, so is it basically just the motors that need a swap? Everything else is good to go? What motors would you recommend in that case?

Yup that's all you have to change. I just used the same xing motors. I think they're reasonably priced and really durable. I'd say experiment with whatever motors look good to you though!

I have! I started with bnf quads though. I learned a lot bit by bit as things broke and had to be fixed. Repairing the Nazgul is the same as any other quad I guess. What part of fixing it are you curious about?

@@MattPochwat I have yet to get my first drone. Someone told me it's best for a noob to build their own drone first. Guess the thought process is you're more familiar with how it's constructed. They also implied BNFs are 'expertly' built, and harder for my noob skills to repair.

I forget that KZbinrs have to consider people internationally. Banggood is probably the best choice for them. Here in the US, I prefer to buy from a US distributor.For the couple of dollars you [might] save, it is worth it to me for the faster, and usually free, shipping.Many of them offer affiliate programs. They are usually fairly small businesses also, which I like to support.

Banggood is not good for the reason that if you buy something and receive it, you will not have a fun time returning it and getting a refund. I had to return a quad and it has been about 8 months and still have not gotten any info from them. They need a better returning system.

Idk, but I personally dislike Banggood just because of the shipment to Germany. It just takes sooo long on some articles and your stuff might even be taken by the border police (btw if your article gets shipped from America, I will guarantee you it gets stuck at the border police and you’ll have to pay income tax) and it‘s just more risk for the package. And on the other side I have the guys from fpv24.de (not an ad, but they are just so awesome) that deliver the next day, even though their stock is very limited on some articles.

Hate banggood ,, their shipping sucks and is a full of cloned products. Support your local business instead..
