I feel that you epitomize the American spirit of the general American population, which I greatly appreciate, from my friends here in the U.S. Of course there are good and bad people just like anywhere. Unfortunately the bad ones seem to be likely ended up becoming politicians, and they run the country. That is how I lost my faith in democracy. I think the only hope to prevent conflict and build up better relationship among countries is to have people like you who are open-minded, optimistic, generous, and full with good-wills toward other people, whether Americans or Chinese or whatever, so the world can live in harmony instead of human tragedies all over as we are having right now around the globe, and not to mention the potential climate disaster likely to come.

From your story, seemingly you are living in Utopia ! I live in a village in England but we don't even have 5G and our internet speed is diabolical! Like you I bought things online and delivered to my house. If I am not at home the deliverer will leave it on my doorstep and risked being stolen, you see the difference from where you are? Your channel is so interesting and unique because you bring content that is interesting and unique and not easily obtained through the internet. You bring us into rural life in China that 99.999% of the population would never experience except living it vacariously through your videos. Another important aspect of your videos is that you are so genuine and intelligent. These are important character traits that are rare in today's quick sound bite world we live in. Really enjoy your Q&As. I returned to China last December after having lived in Europe for nine years. Watching your videos actually helps me understand my home country, and soothe a durable reverse cultural shock. I was even considering about going back to Europe, and picking up from what I had left off (though I'll return there constantly). Indeed, rural life offers a wonderful taste of nature. Unlike mountainous Zhejiang province, rural northern Anhui has a large landscape of plain fields. I feel happy to spot swallows, yellow dragonflies, magpies and oriental doves again in the countryside. It was not so many years ago, now air pollution becomes less here. Pesticides use is still a problem. I don't see a lot of frogs and toads as well as snakes as I used to see when I was a village teenager.

Although all these major achievements are great (amazingly fast and effective constructions of infrastructures, high-speed rail, airports, space station, lunar explorations, EVs, battery technology, AI leadership, aircraft carriers, money-less payment systems, etc., etc.), however the most aspect and characteristics of China is its peaceful nature in its global policies. The friendliness of its population toward visiting guests is another beauty of China. The tasty and affordable food also helps a lot.
when will you back to Nanjing, miss you so much, the episode of Xuanwu lake bring me a lot of precious memories

Stunning view from your window. The serenity, abundant fresh air, absent traffic/horns and close connection to nature can be boring especially in the rural settlements but is much healthier than City life. Referring to fast food as nutritious is an oxymoron but I suppose salad takeout would qualify as nutritious. There should be local donor banks in the City or you can always resort to the stork option (no dna choice, unfortunately).😊

Katherine! How are you? I’m sitting here, three am in the morning, and can’t sleep to see your video pops in front of my eyes… I love your emotionally detached q&a session; I can tell you have gone professional with your KZbin channel. Katherine, to be honest, I have gotten a bit Nostalgic over the ever green mountains and rice fields from memories of my childhood years. I am making plans to go visit China within the next few years… will you show me around your village when I do come back to China? I am obsessed with the bamboos and the misty mountains in the back of your village. They remind me of the poem “The road not taken” by Robert Frost.
