I love the last comment “nobody here gets out alive”. It’s not a debbie-downer remark, rather we gotta do what we can until the very end. And in that, just maybe we push back that very end by a day. Or a month. Or a year. Or a decade.

Thanks, now I'm tryin to DL listening to THE DOORS. HAHA! FUN FACT Jim Morrison's father was the admiral/ US NAVY/ involved in the Gulf of Tonkin that led us into the Vietnam war. If only it would have been resolved by the bureaucrats having a weightlifting comp.

135 made a tremendous difference in my overhead press, Pain in my left shoulder increased to the point that I could not even lift an empty bar. The strength doctor did some work on my shoulder and then I tried the 135. After three weeks under Sully's watch, I could start doing the overhead press with increasing weights. I'm not yet setting new prs but I expect to do that by year's end,

I've just been diagnosed with dextroscoliosis at the thoracolumbar junction and researching how to stay in weight training. I'm 51 and have been lifting for 8 years. 5x5 Stronglifts is my go to program.

Thanks for your attention to my question about my (presumed) DL related hamstring injury. It’s better now, and the only lingering effect is I’m even less in love with the deadlift exercise. Still searching for the minimum effective dosage, I’ll let you know as soon as I find it, haha. As for the ridge I mentioned where the hamstring attaches to the hip that the PT noted, it was larger on the affected side and quite tender.

Great discussion. Best advice I got, eat well and focus on adding weight to your bar, not your body. BMI being used for diagnostic & prescriptive purposes is the devil's work...

I'm 67, I was told by SS coach to add 10kgs (80 to 90) I'm 5'10" naturally lean. Gaining weight is really difficult, so will try to get as strong as possible while not adding "fat". Plenty of niggles/injuries from sports etc. So I'll do what I can I guess. Good information video thanks.
