I'm so glad you mentioned you go back and read the comments from previous days. It has been chaotic for me this year and so I'm behind on Vlogmas, and this is one of my favourite things of this time of year!! I would love to do 1000 mile next year! We're going to be training for the London Marathon and would love to keep the motivation to keep going after that. Thank you so much for the videos, you and your family are so lovely!

I love the idea of a walk along next year. I have kept track of my walking this year (I do my calculations in a very unusual, unconventional way) and I’m going to have over 600 miles this year. Very proud of that at age 77. I’d love to try for 1000 next year (As you can see, I’m very behind in vlogmases. ). Happy New Year!

Yes! Let’s do a walk along! Ali, you are my very favorite vlogmas (and favorite KZbin channels)-I have been watching both of your channels for years! I have also found other channels that I love based on your recommendations. My daughter is a year younger than Phoebe (with many of the same interests including loving a makeup advent as well) and has always loved when she makes an appearance and we watch together.

That funny angel story reminded me of something from when I used to dance ballet as a teenager. In our Christmas show one year I was one of the dancers that brought a small christmas tree on stage and decorated it as part of the show, and at the end of the dance we would put an angel on the top of the tree. Well after one show we discovered that somehow the angel had lost its head and none of us had noticed, and it had gone onstage headless!! We had a good laugh about it

I’d be up for doing a walk-along with you and other viewers, Ali. The only issue for me is living in Canada. You must grab Dan and the girls and come for a visit immediately! Would love it if you came over. If you like Tisvildeleje (Tisvillelaye ... sort of😁) I bet you'd like Skagen too. The very nothern part of Denmark (the top of Jutland). Very nice vibe. Beautiful houses and right next to the sea. You can stand with your feet in two different seas at once! They meet right at the top. And - it's no too far from where I live, so I could come crash your party😂😍

I recently discovered ´singing neeps’, basically microwave whole from raw for half an hour. On a plate because the juices caramelise and get very hot, but once cooled enough you can slice the top off like a boiled egg and scoop out the perfectly cooked, sweet fluffy centre which doesn’t need any butter and is delicious and so easy no peeling necessary ! 😋

Thank you for making these vlogs, not just now, but year round! Usually I watch on my TV and don’t get a chance to interact, but I simply had to pop in to say Hello! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Very Merry Vlogmas! Etc. also, do you watch Diane in Denmark? She’s Scottish, but lives in Denmark, and she is a routines coach. I love her content, and I think you would too! Lastly, if Dan ever needs a LEGO vacation, I’ve got an entire LEGO room and a husband that would enjoy the help. The two could nerd out together. 😂

Slowly catching up with your vlogmasses and enjoying every one! I love the idea of a walkalong, but I'm not sure 1000 miles is achievable for me. I might set myself a 500 mile target for 2025, as I do want to exercise more, and I'll see how I get on. Could you remind us of the walking apps you use - I need a bit of help planning routes and tracking distance etc. Thank you!

I was an exchange student in Denmark for the 1982-83 school year. It was over 40 years ago, but Denmark still has a huge place in my heart. As an aside, I grew up in Canada and there were Marks & Spencer stores in very big cities. We also called it Marks & Sparks.

Thanks for reading out my cheeky comment - my 15 seconds of fame! I love Peggy Sue's colouring, she's beautiful, moulting or not! You can add South Africa for calling ATMs holes in the wall. At least in my family, but like I said, not sure if my folks didn't bring that back from their time living in England. I will watch everyone walk their 1000 miles from my chair unfortunately as I am no longer able to walk substantially. I can contribute with pics of the wildlife we usually encounter on walks around here though. We are very lucky to have a lot of cool wildlife in the area, even if we curse the monkeys for doing their grocery shopping from our cupboards! Bananas now live with the pots and pans... We have a whole area of banana trees and mangoes etc which they demolish too! They do leave the chestnuts though - can't think why! ;-P

I have a non Christmas related question if I may. How do you stop your hair growing outwards and getting frizzy after you've styled it? Mine is thick and wavy and needs to be dried straight but doesn't last well at all. Thanks
@jilliankonig2759Ай бұрын
Now that you mention it, my grandmother always took the bus, and always insisted on not wearing our pajamas on the living room furniture or daytime clothes on the bed. Guess it was for the same reason. I had the Christmas tree protected by a 76 cm tall baby gate when our dog was a puppy, then found her exploring around the tree; turns out baby gates are not high enough to block miniature poodles. The tree was undisturbed.

My lovely ma-in-law bought Christmas favours to put on the table one year, small wind up walking toys which she found in a bargain bin. Didn’t occur to her that zombies and vampires were not particularly Christmassy,but they were a lot cheaper than the snowmen and Santas. Nothing quite says Christmas like a Christmas vampire. Here’s to daft family traditions, when the vampires are on the tree, and the Neil’s Bohr atom is at the top, the Tardis is flashing and the panda is gripping the branches, we can truely say it is Christmas. Phew, I have wanted to say something for a while but didn't want to be rude. Her parenting and relationships seem perfect whereas we are quite dysfunctional. It makes me sad. It's not her fault its just the way it is. My own parents were neurodivergent and hoarders. Her brain is like a smooth running high spec computer. Mine is a partly broken 1980s zx spectrum lol.
