Thanks for the book recommendation about the Tudor books . Start reading with this. Great book. Where the crawdads sang - I didn’t read it but saw the film . The setting and pictures were stunning.

This vlog was so calming, I really enjoyed it. Sorry to hear that Dan is feeling unwell again :( Hope he feels better soon! Ive always associated boardwalks with like sandy beaches, so that's really intrigued me! the last book I read with my eyeballs made me laugh too much!!

Have you ever read a Georgette Heyer (the original and best regency historical author)? Was wondering because you enjoyed the Lex Croucher. I’d recommend Frederica, Venetia or Cotillion.

Definitely not a walk😅 A walk is on level ground, not trapsing round the woods😂 And yes I agree with the others about you walking alone in the woods. I felt like your Mum, thinking she shouldn't be there alone 😅

Hi I have to admit I was feeling very anxious seeing u walking alone in the woods, and it’s so sad that as women we should feel like this😞. However I did enjoy the walk and the beautiful surroundings. You are very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country ❤xxx

Just catching up on your vlogs after being away for 4 weeks in the States. I watched Poor Things on the plane coming home. It was quite raunchy in places but couldn't stop watching as the film is intriguing. Not my husband's type of film as it is also a bit gory!

I would have loved that walk, such beautiful countryside and would have lingered around the stables and horses. I just ordered the first three books of Henry VIII's wives, I have a book on Ann Boylan and love it. Nice nails! x (have made two dodgy bags and another three to sew, only procrastinated for 2 or 3 years)

I'd class it as a hike, any long walk with varying terrain through woodland/rural areas. Your GoPro footage is a lot more blurry than the other footage, maybe you need to tweak the settings or how it's uploaded because I'm sure the GoPro films in 4K but it's a lower quality footage. I loved when the horse got so interested in you, horse nose boop 😍 also a book called A Gathering Light by Jennifer Donnelly is a written a bit like Crawdads, with two stories, one in the past and one in the future and a murder with the timelines eventually colliding. I read it when I was a teenager and it stuck with me.

Gardening is like 50/50 just enjoy the fresh air pottering with pots ( laugh so delicately thrust in ) and see what thrives that’s the best bit We could see from your expression you had a good time shopping for plants & playing in the garden chickens & all ( looks like feathers growing back that’s positive 🐓🐓

Thankyou for the lovely walk Ali. I’m absolutely loving the Six Tudor Wives series but had to have a break after Anne Boleyn’s demise 😳. I’m enjoying Jane Seymour now. I do get a bit annoyed by some of the pronunciation and use of, what I think is, modern idiom. I’d certainly give the first two 5s and recommend them, so thankyou for recommending them to me! Xx

I love a good boardwalk! We found an amazing one on holiday this year and it seemed to go on for miles! Those woods look so green and lush after all the rain we’ve had - hence the mud! Hope your trainers scrubbed up well! Strangely Gayna made a cottage pie this week and incidentally, so did I! Good comfort food after your hike! X

What a lovely walk/hike. I think because of the distance, and because you were on a trail in the woods, that it was a hike. I find I can't listen to a book beside a busy road. I can't hear it, even with the volume up. Very annoying! I need to move to a town with only electric vehicles! :)

Lovely day! I had fun spending time with one of my sons. we did a massive plant re-potting. Tonight there are happy plants at my house. Loved your walk. So much fun to see you. I never do well on book reviews-I have finally abandoned the stars method and gone to asking myself if I want to re read or re-listen, and if so how often before I get tired of it. 🙂

Really enjoy your walks (hikes : ) and book talks. I am always interested to hear about how you rate a book. I am not good about sorting it out. I almost always give a 4 on Goodreads. although worry about bringing down the average of good book that scores higher. Poor books don't get finished. Always happy to see a new episode show up from you.

I had the very discussion with a friend recently - walk vs hike! IMO a hike is in the woods where you have to climb over tree branches and dodge mud puddles. Ergo - you were on a hike🤣

What a lovely vlog! If I were to visit England, I'd love to take a nice long walk with you and maybe one at the seaside too! Loved the book chat. I am going to start The Rivers of London by Ben Aaronivitch for my #Britishbookclub on June 1. I also plan to get 500 miles from Jun through the rest of the year- I wanted to start at your halfway point. I've been walking, just not logging the miles. Maybe my smartwatch can tell me how many I've done already... ❤
