Scott Lang deserves a "best MCU dad" of the year award here. Poor guy can't catch a break in these movies. First he's trying to get visitation rights to his daughter and goes through silly stuff to accomplish it, including helping another broken family unit come together. Then he's on house arrest but still makes time for his daughter with his resources at home. The lengths he goes to here is one of the reasons he's one of the best heroes in the MCU: He's just a regular guy (not a genius, inventor, god, warrior, or even a king) who's trying his best to get his life together but the universe just finds a way to stall him on that quest. I enjoy the Ant-Man film series for that reason despite their noticeable issues.

How people can dislike this film with how far out it goes and how absurd it gets, yet love Thor Ragnarok for doing the EXACT SAME THING is beyond me. In point-of-fact, Thor 3 went so far out of its way to "do something different" that the entire tone of Thor's arc changed and the character ITSELF fundamentally changed, yet everyone was ok with that. They criticize this movie's comedy as being hit-or-miss or too goofy but believe that every joke and goofy moment in Ragnarok landed? Really? Ant Man and the Wasp was an earnestly good film that maintained its tone and characters from the previous film. It was solid. Especially in the visual department with the manipulation of size as a weapon... There's really no reason that I can surmise off of the top of my head to not like this. And seriously............what's with everyone hating Michael Pena's character? His quick-cut stories were some of the funniest moments in these films in my personal opinion.

I think the last scene was supposed to be a dark humor type of thing. Before you see the ant play the drums, you saw that a country-wide emergency warning on TV and silence outside the San Francisco neighborhood explaining how dangerous the situation Thanos has put on the world by getting rid of half the world. The ant playing the drums is kind of the humor in that the ant is minding it's own business and does not care about what's happening around the world. That is what the end-credits scene represented, but I guess people didn't get the point of it, didn't like, both, or people got the point of it but still didn't like the scene.

the second stinger is critical on laying how life is after the Snapture. the Emergency Alert System is going off and you'll notice how silent it is outside. then the "coming soon" text comes up, which is one to see.

I liked this film a lot. Palate cleanser or not, Ant-man and the Wasp was fun (with or without popcorn). Actually what I found most funny in the "truck as skateboard" scene was the lack of any interest by the hipsters/patrons at a local coffee shop in what was going on just outside the window. As for the 2nd stinger, I agree you do not have to stay. Actually in the first few seconds of the 2nd stinger, there is a quick image of a device (not the Ant and drums) which emphasizes the event of the FIRST stinger.

i think people are forgetting this movies are supposed to comicbook based, so just like walking into a comic store and shopping MARVEL, not all titles are going to tension fill and co-related to major MU plot lines. so is no surprise to me at least, that some comics..ie movies are just going to be made for fun, and not really meant to be 100% tied in to major MCU events, so just like when you buy a fave comic character book just cause you like him, that should be enough, and then another title that does directly tie into a major plot line will come along later..imo people are just disapointed IWAR. was not followed up in this one particular entry

Every Marvel franchise caters to a particular niche. Ant-Man movies are barely PG-13, lighthearted, and sweet. They are family films. And highly successful ones at that. Don't come into one of these expecting another Black Panther though.

The first “Antman” was great, the humor was more geared to people with criminal past, that’s why some of the jokes went over people’s heads. That Baskin Robbins bit was gold, I think Martin got it. It looks like they underused it with this and chose the effects route. The dialogue is way to go with this.

Double Toasted's crew always keeping it real. I really like the MCU but I was very indifferent towards Wasp's character in the first movie and all trailers pointed out to the fact that they would go the cliché sitcom route of making Ant-man extra-stupid and Wasp the no-fun and smarter female partner. I loved Paul Rudd in Civil War but I think I'm gonna skip this one in the theaters and check it out when it's available digitally. I hope the people that decide to watch it have a great time though.

SLAYEROFEVIL Black Panther was never part of Kevin Feige plan, but rather, Nate Moore’s idea. I read a couple weeks ago one of the Russo brothers saying how some that are ‘dead’ will stay dead. In the comics, Black Panther defeated Thanos, so if T’Challa isn’t ‘alive’ what’s the point of keeping him, also, Black Panther’s souls belong to Bast, so it wouldn’t be possible for Thanos to make a Black Panther cease to exist. Marvel is changing major origins, so no telling what they will do. I hope I’m wrong because I have been a Black Panther fan since my childhood.

You would have to have money or support from somebody... in this movie Paul Rudd partly owns a company and I need to refresh myself on how he was able to get money to buy it- but many courts will have the person on house arrest to pay weekly to be on house arrest to a 3rd party company that works with the courts.... if you cannot afford it then you sit in jail - which is far less freedom which is why people will find a way to pay for house arrest if it’s an option. I was on house arrest for 6mos in my 20s so I’m just speaking from experience - yea my sister was a big support in this time...couldn’t hv done it without her...
