I just saw this movie today with my mom and we haven’t watch it back In 2011 when I was in high school and we saw it on my 4k Sony Bravia x1 43 inch tv and it looks so good on 4k too and Thor played by Chris Hemsworth he does a great job too and he is awesome for this character too and Jane Foster played by Natalie Portman she did a great job too and she is so beautiful and gorgeous too and I always been a fan of her since the Star Wars sequel 1999-2005 and she was my biggest huge crush back in the days too and she is a very good talent actress too and always love her too and Loki played by Tom Hiddleston he does a great job as the main villain and he is so good too for this character and he is my favorite villain in the Thor movies too and I forgot that Anthony Hopkins was actually in this movie too and I didn’t know he was in it when he was on screen and I seen him in The make of zorro 1998 and he is a good actor too and same goes for Idris Elba too I forgot that he was in this movie too and he does a great job too when he was on screen but he barely in it tho and Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis she did a great job too and she is so pretty too as well and Sif played by Jaimie Alexander she did a great job too as well and she is so sexy as hell and gorgeous too and I love her as a actress now and can’t believe this movie came out 11 years ago and time sure does flies in the movie world that’s for damn sure bro and it always brings a smile to my face every time I rewatched this movie too and it still holds up too from this day forward and I’m a fan of Thor now even though I wasn’t at first but now I’m sure a fan of this character now and overall I’m gonna give Thor 2011 a 10/10 stars I really did enjoy this movie for what it was but that just me though in my opinions and thoughts on this movie bro

it was a pretty good film, the 3D was more like 2.5D which wasn't really bad at all but could've been better. i saw it at an advance screening before it came out and i really enjoyed it. it's something that could be watch more than once.

The americans didn't really steal Thor, since he wasn't just a Norse god anyway, he was already public domain even in Viking age.

What's problematic about Thor? Is it because in the comics they're all white? Also, I noticed a plot-hole in the MCU: lady Sif is supposed to be Asgard's first female warrior, right? But in Thor: Ragnarok its revealed that Valkyries are an ASGARDIAN group of all FEMALE warriors, right? My Mum's (I'm British) theory is that after the Valkyries fought Hella they disbanded, so by the time Thor comes along they're just Asgardian myth, so the idea of a female warrior is once again scoffed at.

Pretty sure he didn't mean socially problematic, just practically/artistically difficult to translate to film. In the ancient mythology, the Valkyries were all female, I guess the historically inaccurate notion that female warriors would be scoffed at by the Norse gods was just the usual lazy trope about women being underestimated forced into a story in a patronising attempt to lure in a female audience.
