Mason didn’t lose track at all, his recap of the Kangs thus far was spot on! But they had a lot of questions about what happens next, which Kang is going to be THE Kang, was this Kang pure evil? I agree that it may get very messy and confusing to general audiences. I genuinely don’t know how they are going to tackle this.

I miss watching these on KZbin, I remember years ago, literally over half a decade now actually lol when I discovered these fellas, I was going through an opiate addiction (and it's subsequent recovery, there's a happy ending lol) and there was nothing better than being unemployed, getting high in the sunshine through my basement window as I hid in my damp dark domain lololol, and blissfully drifted off listening to these 2 aussy weirdos lol Luckily enough, during my cold turkey recovery, these 2 were one of the only pods I could listen to that would bring me peace. The upbeat positivity and genuine good souls of these two was just a beautiful thing that doesn't exist in too many places. I listen on Big Sandwich these days but miss tuning in here, there's a nostalgia to it. So here i am for old times sake lol grab that pill..I mean...gem...grab that gem folks! ✌️ ☯️

I think the comment about critics reaching their breaking point was spot on. I desperately want to avoid DCEU style 'critics are bias' talk, but with this entire phase, there has been a critcal feeling of 'oh, we don't have to be nice to these anymore.' It reminds me of the Michale Bay Transformers' films where the reviews quickly became less about appraising the film and more just airing grievances and bemoaning the 'state of things.'

Spoliers I think the implication is that all the Kangs had a multiversal war, lots of destruction, then The One Who Remains was the sole survivor, and kept the multiverse limited to one timeline. Once he died, the multiverse came back, and new Kangs were made. THEN one of these Kangs saw the end of the universe, saw the Beyonder destroying all of existence, then decided to conquer all realities to "save" it from the Beyonder. This sparked new multiversal conflicts, which led to him being Exiled.

I think my biggest problem with A+W: Our Quantums are Manic is that the entire movie's plot wouldn't have happened if Janet had at any point told her family "HEY, there's this scary multiverse ending madman trapped in there, maybe don't try to send messages into it." Seriously, did she and Hank Pym just not discuss anything about her time in the Quantum Realm for the who knows how long she's been back?

My takeaway was that this movie's Kang isnt truly trying to stop something awful from happening, but rather he's the one Kang who thought he was above the whole council of Kangs bullshit and wanted to go solo/rule the others. So the council banished him to the quantumrealm. But yeah, I dont fucking know. The real shit that needs explaining is how Incursions work. Doc Strange movie said that if you spend too much time in another universe it just fucks it up, but like, isnt that exactly what Kang does? Just hang out and take over other universes? Does he cause incursions? Does Loki cause incursions in his show from hanging out in other dimensions? Im too fucking stupid to understand these Marvel movies anymore.

Heres my theory: Kang the Conqueror IS the Kang from Loki, just him way down the timeline. In Loki he explicitly says that hes defeated the other Kangs and stopped the multiversal war... that is secret wars. Time is a loop, and He Who Remains said all of this basically. After what happens to Kang in Antman, hes gonna get stuck for a long "relative" (like a combo of ants) time in the probability storm, and will become well versed in killing versions of himself in there. All versions of Scott wanted the same goal, NOT the same with Kang. Then he comes out after X amount of time, presumably with time powers now and murders the fuck out of the Council of Kangs and unites all of their empires in the Prime Kang Dynasty.

To cement Kang as a genuine Thanos-esque threat, one of Scott or Hope should have died, even if it was just Kang taking them out as he was stopped/sucked in. I think the exiled Kang will either take the place of God Emperor Doom in Secret Wars or will become He Who Remains, or perhaps they will do both, or he is the one who restores the main universe from battleworld from another Kang. Just like with thanos, it's not as easy as good or evil. Thanos truly believed he was conducting a necessary evil for the greater good. I think it is the same with our exiled Kang He who remained was confident in his planning that if Sylvie and Loki killed him he would end up right back where he was, reincarnation style. It could be that, either through his own design or just "destiny" that one Kang will always rise to fill that spot he left.

Enh. I thought it had fewer but better jokes than the others. I had a good time. I wish Modok came back. This version was hilarious. Don't understand anyone going "Bad cgi!" at something that is so obviously a joke look.

The biggest thing holding Quantumania back is that it's completely inconsequential. There's a single villain that's soundly defeated by the end. Everyone is back in the same place they were when the film began. And you can't even say there was a completed character arch in this story.

Soundly defeated? They telegraphed "The End..?" incredibly hard. And Modok counts! This was a great version of him and I will be disappointed if its the last time we see him.

It's always been somewhat of an issue with the MCU where villains are like baddie of the week, I think it was less prevalent before cause it actually felt like it was building up the characters, but now it just feels like pointless fluff where the characters come out identical to before the movie started, and the characters in the movie don't seem to take anything seriously either, making everything REALLY feel like a pointless waste of time because you can't enjoy the movie for itself, bc the sense of humor comes across like corporate executive/focus tested dialogue that you can only describe with 'cringe'.

The thing with the Kang's is that none of them are trustworthy. We've never gotten an unbiased accounting of the events.

No hope for Hellboy. Guillermo Del Toro made the best ones. Studios missed out on his talent. Imagine if he made Pacific Rim 2 and Hellboy 3. Studio's just messed up.

After 31 films, this is the first MCU movie have to say I didn't really like. I've been generous to most of Phase 4, but this Quantumania really felt like it needed a few more rewrites. Kang was cool though. Legit got hyped whenever Jonathan Majors was on screen.

Frankly, the compositing on Ezra Miller's face and costume in the trailer is so terrible it would be easy to replace him with another actor. The TV Flash is a variant character and we have already seen him in trailers. Who knows what Gunn wants, I'm totally sceptical about his plans.

I havent been keeping up, I know they always joked about not liking "shooting up your butthole" part of the open and wanting to remove it, but now... "He's gone hasn't he? He talked for so long about leaving. I didn't think he'd really do it."

Scott Atkins Diet is BIG MAN and has Big Martial Arts, damn horrible filmography but creamy smooth kickbuttery, I LIKE THAT! Also, Michelle Pfeiffer was the original Wasp, so the title still works!

Michelle Pfeiffer's character was The Wasp, just as Michael Douglas' was Ant-Man. Technically, it was an Ant-Man and the Wasp movie, just with a different Wasp.

Kang Predictions: The Kangs are planning to collapse the multiverse into a single world they can rule over as a single combined being. I think they're adapting the mid 2010's version of Secret Wars, and Kang is taking Doom's role as the "savior-god" of the combine Battleworld.

I’m gonna wait for Quantumania to stream on Disney+ without a pay wall because it’ll probably happen around the same time as Loki series 2 and will be a nice appendix I love Paul Rudd and he’s perfect as Ant-Man but I suspect Loki series 2 will be better than this and therefore I won’t feel let down.

I was thinking will MBJ play his son who is older now, but Jaden Smith was his son in that movie? So does Will not want Jaden to reprise his own real life role? If so then Will strikes again
