MARAUDER ANTS vs. BLACK CRAZY ANTS vs. PHARAOH ANTS: 3 different ant colonies meet in a single place and go to war in such a fascinating way! In this video we explore what happens when three species of ants meet and compete within a large terrarium called the Garden of Eden. Going into an epic battle over food are our Marauder Ants (The Titans) battling off savage Black Crazy ants and Pharaoh Ants who have infiltrated the terrarium!
You will be surprised at how the ants interact and seem to establish an hierarchy within the ant terrarium. I also need your opinions and help with some key questions in the end of the video. Hope you enjoy another epic episode of incredible ant discovery!

I had them in the house and at first put them out not to kill them poor ants but they came back in the house then I got the bug spray and kilked the megaopolis but it took me 3 weeks to realise ants were in and moving and comming in the my house left right and centre

Also ants can provide a valuable pest cleaning service. Just keep your house as clean as you can. No food out or crumbs. Stuff like that. And if they’re still comming in and not super noticeable. Let them. Chances are they are finding and getting rid of roaches and spiders and others. So they can be useful if you alter your response to them a little

Lol! Am watching this again but I'm not quite awake yet (long story...). When Mikey said "ant war" about 4 mins in, my eyes had shut again for a few moments. This. Taking them out of the equation quickly will probably stop the biggest problems. Then the focus will simply be the black crazy ant colony rather than two feral colonies at once. I mention this elsewhere but once it's just the black crazy ants an effective method is probably placing the food right on top of the Titans nest so the black crazy ants essentially have no way to feed. At some point they'll move out or starve. But surrounding the set-up with a moat and keeping the Pharaohs out is the most pressing concern.

When I was a kid I saw something that blew my mind! There was an ant hole in my yard and it was covered with both red and black ants! I never saw that before and so I investigated and was amazed to see that the ants were having a tremendous battle! there were pieces of ant bodies lying all over and the red ants were clearly winning! I then noticed two lines of red ants and was shocked that these lines crossed the street! I followed the lines to the other side of the street and saw a large red ant hill. Looking closer at the lines I was shocked to find that one line was red ants marching across the road to the black ant hole and the other line was red ants marching back with the bodies of the black ants! I had seen my first and only "Ant War!"

In my neighborhood there are 2 major ant colonys one red and one black the main red ant hill is in my backyard with smaller ones in my front yard and the main black ant hill is in my nextdoor neighbors yard and every time i come outside i see black ant scouts on the pavement coming into my yard (my yard would basically be a desert to them its all just dirt no grass just weeds) and each time they always run into each other and start to fight at first the red ants would win because they're closer to the colony and its just a couple of scouts but the next time i checked on the ants i saw dozens of black ants just storming the smaller colonys and ripping the red ants to shreds

I think you need to place something to protect the outside so no other external colonies can enter. As you can see the pharaoh ant queens I think you should remove them and place them somewhere else so they don’t populate inside the Garden of Eden, it could also mean a start to a new Ant colony on the channel! 😊

Weren't the dark knights moved into this terrarium? Initially we thought they didn't move in correct? But we have learned that black crazy ants can clone queens so maybe one of the Queens stayed in the terrarium without any of us knowing

Alestiiidae [no_last] that is true but another thing to consider is that the titans' species ( forgot the name lol) have been known to be difficult to keep in captivity. What if the reason why they are able to survive is because they are put in real life situations such as competing with other ant colonies.

Easy way to test this hypothesis: take a few 'savage' ants and add them to the Dark Nights. If they're the same, they'll be left alone, otherwise they'll be attacked

Amazing stuff, this brought back old memories. When I was a boy 55 years ago I used to collect small red ants and small black ants. Put the same amounts into container and watch them fight. Reds would always win. Those were the type of things you did for fun in those days.

Esco Royale love this idea think it would be very interesting but don't put the marauder ants in danger just to keep some of them the Pharaoh hands are really that dangerous that they can freely cross the barrier then they need to be taken out.

This problem must be dealt with extreme attention. I don't think the Titans can survive the Pharo ants so reinforce the baby powder. Try to find the Pharo colony and see if you can destroy it. They are too dangerous to stay wild and remember, they are not a treat just to the Titans, they can invade any other terrarium! To deal with the black crazy ants i think its better if you leave them aside... fed them 2, but focus on the Titans because they migth on day overcome the black crazy ants. And for the names: - *The Shadow Ants* (for the black crazy ants that came from and live in the shadows) - *Mileum Thieves* (Mileum is actualy "mil e um", from portuguese, wich translates to "one thousand and one". Its a reference to the story "One thousand and one nights - Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves", as the Pharo ants came from the out side to steal the roaches.) PS: sry for editing the mensage... i had forgoten to add the names.

This, but I think more extreme measures should be taken against the pharaoh ant threat. Find them, possibly vacuum them up, and kill them. Then find their nest(s) and destroy them. And fully seal the terrarium, all the holes in the mesh need to be patched, and all the corners need to be covered. This cannot stand. Also, to comment since there's a parallel to be made between this channel and Game of Thrones, the pharaoh ants are basically whitewalkers. They need to be destroyed.

The Pharaoh Ants are the threat, not the Black Crazy Ants. I think these are actually a segment of the Dark Knights, who were briefly placed in the tank followed the Titan's... supposed extinction and hiding. However, by now, their scent would have changed and they would be considered rogues. We can call them 'The Banes.' However, the Pharaoh Ants are very clearly the threat, so their Queens may want to be moved... or killed (I know, ant love forever, but if they are super invasive you don't want to introduce a species like that). They are swarming in! 1) Yes 2) No 3) Yes 4) Block off the corners, somehow (if possible). Try to make sure the Pharaoh ants are unable to establish a colony within the Garden of Eden.
