My mother is MSc BEd in Physics....she couldn't get a job in government or aided school...so she joined a private school in Thrissur...in 2003...her salary was just 2k per month and she understood that is not enough for a good living...after which she started tution and started a centre and now she is very happy and earn about 1 lakh per month and no one is there to rule her...she is her own boss ..it's been more than 20 years now she is in this sector. She handle classes from 5th to 10th both state and CBSE.

എന്റെ അമ്മ temporary ആയി 10-12 വര്‍ഷം പല സ്കൂളുകളിലും പഠിപ്പിച്ചു. എങ്കിലും salary 13k കുറവ് മാത്രം കിട്ടിയിരുന്നുള്ളൂ. 11th, 12th ആണ് പഠിപ്പിച്ചത്. English ആയിരുന്നു വിഷയം. വളരെ committed ആയിരുന്നു. എങ്ങകിലും അവസാനം അത് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു msc chemistry ചെയ്തു chemist ആയി പലയിടത്തും പോയി. ഇതിലും ഒരു 17-18k ആണ് കിട്ടുന്നത്. ആണുങ്ങൾ ആണെങ്കിൽ അമ്മയുടെ അതേ postൽ 25k വാങ്ങുന്നവരുണ്ട്. അമ്മയെ കൊണ്ട് ചത്ത് പണി എടുപ്പിക്കും, തുല്യ വേതനം പോലും നൽകാതെ. ഇത് ചൂഷണമാണ്. അമ്മ highly qualified ആണ്. പക്ഷേ, പണം ഉള്ളവര്‍ നല്ല ജോലി വാങ്ങി പോകും. PSC ലിസ്റ്റിൽ ഒക്കെ വന്നെങ്കിലും നിയമനം ലഭിച്ചില്ല. കുറേ കാത്തിരുന്നു ആ പാവം. ഒരുപാട്‌ സഹിച്ചു. നന്നായി പഠിച്ച് എല്ലാരുടെയും അഭിമാനം ആയിരുന്നു. ഇപ്പൊ ഒരു സ്ഥിരം ജോലി പോലും ഇല്ല. എനിക്കും ചെലപ്പോ വിഷമം ആവും. 😔

Hi. ഞാൻ 2 വർഷം പ്രൊഫഷണൽ കോളജ് അദ്ധ്യാപകനായി ജോലിചെയ്തു. എൻ്റെ സാലറി 10000 രൂപയിൽ താഴെ ആയിരുന്നു. വീട്ടിൽനിന്നും 13km ഉണ്ട് കോളേജിലേക്ക്. ബൈക്ക് മെയിൻ്റനൻസ്, പെട്രോൾ, ഡ്രസ് അങ്ങിനെ ചിലവെല്ലാം കഴിഞ്ഞ് 500 രൂപപോലും ബാക്കിയില്ലാത്ത അവസ്ഥ. കുറെ കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. അവസാനം ഗതികെട്ട് കല്യാണശേഷം ഭാര്യയുമായി തെലങ്കാനയ്ക്ക് നാടുവിട്ടു. ഭാര്യയും ടീച്ചർ ആണ്. ഇപ്പൊൾ ഞങ്ങൾ രണ്ടുപേരും അവിടെ വർക്ക് ചെയ്യുന്നു. അത്യവിശം ഭേദപ്പെട്ട സാലറി ഉണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ ജോലിഭാരം താങ്ങാൻ ആകുന്നില്ല. രാവിലെ 8 മണി മുതൽ 6 മണി വരെ ഡ്യൂട്ടി. ക്ലാസിൽ ഇരിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കില്ല. അവിടുത്തെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സമ്പ്രദായംതന്നെ 100 വർഷം പുറകിലാണ്. കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് പിടിച്ചുനിൽക്കുന്നു എന്ന് വേണം പറയാൻ. എങ്കിലും നാട്ടിലെ സാലറിയുടെ അവസ്ഥ വെച്ച് നോക്കുമ്പോൾ സ്വർഗമാണ്. അങ്ങിനെയൊക്കെ ജീവിച്ച് പോകുന്നു.

ഗവണ്മെന്റ് ജോലി കിട്ടിയാൽ രക്ഷപെട്ടു. ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ പുറത്ത് എവിടെയെങ്കിലും പോയി രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടോളൂ എന്നാണ് എന്റെ ടീച്ചർ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് നൽകിയ ഉപദേശം. ഗൾഫിൽ ഒക്കെ ട്യൂഷൻ എടുത്താൽ തന്നെ മാസം ലക്ഷങ്ങൾ സമ്പാദിക്കാം. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് maths ന് നല്ല ഡിമാൻഡ് ആണ്. പക്ഷെ അത്യാവശ്യം നന്നായി ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യാൻ അറിയണം.

ശെരിയാണ് പറഞ്ഞത്. എന്റെ അമ്മയും ഒരു private school ലെ അധ്യാപിക ആണ്. ഈ പറഞ്ഞത് കൂടാതെ management sidil നിന്നും അവര്‍ക്കു ഒരുപാട് torturers അനുഭവിക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്നുണ്ട്. നല്ല രീതിയില്‍ partiality കാണാം. വീട്ടില്‍ വന്നാല്‍ പോലും ജോലികള്‍ അവസാനിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഫോണില്‍ നോക്കി അവര്‍ ഇടുന്ന updates ന് അപ്പൊ അപ്പൊ replies കൊടുക്കണം. രാത്രിയും zoom വഴി meetings um കാര്യങ്ങളും. ( most of the days). works അതായത് non teaching staffs ‍ നോക്കേണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങൾ പോലും ഇവരെ ആണ് ഏല്‍പിക്കുന്നത് staffine നിയമികാതെ.Public holiday's il പോലും teachers ഉച്ചവരെ വെറുതെ ചെന്ന് ഇരിക്കണം. ഇല്ലെങ്കില്‍ സാലറി cut. Kittunathu deductions kazhinj 9000.( school il മറ്റു എന്തേലും functions വന്നാല്‍ അതിനും ഇവരുടെ കൈയില്‍ നിന്നു പിടിക്കും). ഇത് ഒക്കെ കണ്ട് വരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ആണോ എന്ന് അറിയില്ല ഈ profession ഒരു താല്പര്യം um thonunilla.

Thank you for this. Colleges here have no respect for teachers. 18k okke aanu ivduthe valya oru amount. When you tell them it's too little they say that's higher than most colleges n that's true but it's not enough! It's inconsequential to them how we survive on this small amount. I often wonder if they don't increase the salary because it's women who make up most of the teaching force here. Ivduthe kazhchapadu ansarichu working women or not, the woman can depend on her husband or father ennanallo :/

20k ഒക്കെ ഏറ്റവും സീനിയർ ടീച്ചർക്ക് ആയിരിക്കും. എന്റെ ഫ്രണ്ട്‌സ് പലരും ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്നത് 7500 രൂപയ്ക്കായിരുന്നു. 2020-21 കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ആണ് ഈ സാലറി എന്ന് ഓർക്കണം. അത് എഞ്ചിനീറിങ് കോളേജിലെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ടീച്ചർ ആണ് എന്ന് പ്രത്യേകം പറയുന്നു, കാരണം വീഡിയോയുടെ ഒടുവിൽ താങ്കൾ പറയുന്നുണ്ട് ആർട്‌സ് ടീച്ചേഴ്സ്ന് കൂടുതൽ സാലറി കിട്ടാറുണ്ട് എന്ന്. അതും പൂർണ്ണമായും ശരിയല്ല. Self Financing Arts & Science കോളേജുകളിൽ ആർട്‌സ് അധ്യാപകർക്കും ഇതേ സ്ഥിതി ഒക്കെ തന്നെയാണ്. Government Guest Faculty ആണെങ്കിൽ ആണ് 30k ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ടാകുക. അതും Collegiate വകുപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് പേപ്പർ പാസ്സ് ആയി വന്നാൽ മാത്രം കൃത്യമായി കിട്ടും. എന്റെ സീനിയർ ചേട്ടൻ കേരളവർമ്മ കോളേജിൽ ഹിന്ദി വിഭാഗം ഗസ്റ്റ് അധ്യാപകൻ ആയിരുന്നു ഒരു വർഷം. ആ ജോലി നിർത്തി ആള് research ചെയ്യാൻ പോയി ഒന്നര വർഷം ആയിട്ടും കേരളവർമ്മയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്തതിന്റെ സാലറി ഇതുവരെ കോളേജ് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് അനുവദിച്ചു കിട്ടിയിട്ടില്ല.

My sister in law was a teacher in this field in a very reputed institution in Trivandrum. Package was 25K, but not even once she got closer /full package. There were lot of hidden rates and she made closer to 13K and some months ~10K. She stayed to gain experience and move out of India. Also her passion is teaching. Like you said her husband is in IT abroad, so she was okay. She had to work weekends, computerized lesson plans (during personal hours), extra- special classes and always over-killing. But this is not the situation just in India. Even in developed countries like US, teachers are very much underpaid and they work other jobs to cover. This is sad situation all over!

ജനറൽ വിഭാഗത്തിലുള്ളവർ സർക്കാർ ജോലിക്ക് ശ്രമിക്കാത്തതാണ് നല്ലത്.... ലിസ്റ്റിൽ കിടക്കുകയേ ഉള്ളൂ ജോലി കിട്ടില്ല..... പ്രൈവറ്റ് ജോലിയുടെ സ്ഥിതി ഇതൊക്കെയാണ്...... അതുകൊണ്ടല്ലേ ചെറുപ്പക്കാർ കൊള്ളാവുന്ന രാജ്യത്തേക്ക് പോകുന്നത്..... 20 വർഷം കഴിയുമ്പോൾ ഇവിടെ കുറെ കിഴവന്മാർ മാത്രമാകും ..... സർക്കാർ ഓഫീസിൽ ചെന്നാൽ കഷ്ടം തോന്നും.... ഫയൽ നോക്കാൻ അറിയില്ല..... പേര് പറഞ്ഞാൽ മലയാളത്തിൽ പോലും കറക്റ്റ് ആയിട്ട് എഴുതാൻ അറിയില്ല...... പിന്നെ Jaiby തന്നെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ പ്രൈവറ്റ് ജോലി കൊണ്ട് നന്നായി ജീവിക്കാൻ കഴിയും എന്ന്....... ഇതിനൊരു സൊലൂഷൻ പറയാമോ???

Govt. ജോലി ഒക്കെ നന്നായി ശ്രമിച്ചാൽ കിട്ടും general ആണെങ്കിലും, കിട്ടില്ല എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു കാണുന്നവരെ കൂടി demotivate ചെയ്യാതെ. ഇങ്ങനെ general ayondu കിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു negative അടിച്ചു hard work ചെയ്യാതെ നടന്നാൽ കിട്ടില്ല.പിന്നെ ലിസ്റ്റ് inte last ഒക്കെ ആണ് rank എങ്കിൽ luck പോലെ. അത് ജനറൽ മാത്രം അല്ല majority പേർക്കും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ആണ്.( Vacancy അത്യാവശ്യം ഉള്ള post ആണെങ്കിൽ). General ആയത് കൊണ്ട് കിട്ടില്ല എന്നില്ല. Hard work ചെയ്താൽ കിട്ടും.

@@anagha______ അങ്ങനെ നോക്കുവാണെങ്കിൽ ഈഴവ, വിശ്വകർമ, obc ഇവർക്കൊക്കെയോ? ഇവരും majority lists lum Open category rank പോലെ തന്നെ ആണ് പോകുന്നത്. അവർക്കും ഇതേ അവസ്ഥ ഒക്കെ തന്നെയാണ്. ഞാൻ ഒരു psc aspirant ആണ്. ഞാൻ psc പഠിക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചപ്പോൾ തന്നെ ഒരു load negatives ആയിരുന്നു list il ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും കിട്ടില്ല എന്നൊക്കെ. വീട്ടുകാർ പഠിക്കാൻ എതിർപ്പ് ആയിരുന്നു. Last GATE കിട്ടി കൊണ്ട് MTech nu പോയത് കൊണ്ട് കിട്ടിയ stipend കൊണ്ട് online class എടുത്തു വീട്ടിൽ ആണ് പഠിച്ചത്. എൻ്റെ category um general പോലെ rank പോകുള്ളു. അതുകൊണ്ടും കൂടി aaanu എതിർപ്പ്. But ഞാൻ negatives ഒന്നും mind ചെയ്യാതെ എഴുതി. പല lists lum statewide exams il 200 300 rank ഒക്കെ കിട്ടുകയും ചെയ്തു. കുറെ lists il ഉണ്ട്. ഉടനെ job കേറാനും പറ്റും. Negatives കേട്ട് പഠിക്കേണ്ട എന്ന് വെച്ച് പ്രൈവറ്റ് il പോയി കഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന പല friends um ഉണ്ട് അതും നന്നായി പഠിക്കാൻ കഴിവ് ഉളളവർ. ഞാൻ ഇതൊന്നും mind ചെയ്യാതെ നേരെ പഠിച്ചു exam എഴുതിയത് കൊണ്ടാണ് ഈ വേഗം job കിട്ടാൻ പറ്റുന്ന റാങ്കിൽ എത്താൻ പറ്റിയത് എന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. Psc കിട്ടുന്നവരും കിട്ടാത്തവരും ഉണ്ടാവും. ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞ category kakku ഒക്കെ നല്ല rank ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലേ കിട്ടൂ. General കാർക്ക് മാത്രം ആണ് problem എന്നത് തെറ്റിധാരണ ആണ്. (PSC yude karyam മാത്രം ആണ്) നല്ല rank മെടിച്ചാൽ കിട്ടും. നല്ല rank മേടിക്കാൻ കഴിവ് ഉള്ളവരെ negatives പറഞ്ഞു പിന്തിരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് ശെരിയാണ് എന്ന് തോന്നുന്നില്ല. പിന്നെ കുറച്ച് exams എഴുതുമ്പോൾ മനസ്സിലാകും എത്ര റാങ്കിൽ എത്താൻ പറ്റും എന്ന്. വിചാരിച്ച പോലെ റാങ്ക് എത്താൻ പറ്റുന്നില്ല എന്ന് തോന്നിയാൽ strong determination ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ മാത്രം അതിനായി time കളഞ്ഞാൽ മതി എന്ന അഭിപ്രായവും ഉണ്ട്.
