It makes me so happy that someone else actually knows about Super Mario Land 2. That was the first Mario game I ever played and actually the first game I ever completed. I mean, going back it is really easy, but it certainly was one of my favorites as a kid. Also, that game has like four characters from other Mario games, which makes it all the more interesting. I would certainly love to see a video about that game at some point.

In case if you also don't know about ICP and where the stick figure and ninja came from, here's some help. the stick figure is the hatchet man, who is one of the many icons for ICP. The ninja is the Magic Ninja, a sorta main character in ICP's movie "Big Money Hustlas". I hope I helped!

Great video, and I'm really looking forward to the SM64-hacking video =) I hope you include all the major important romhacks like *Missing Stars* (first big hack), *SM74* (first full hack with over 120 stars), *Star Road* (probably still the best SM64-hack), *Green Stars* (another really good hack), *Last Impact* (the hack with the most programming put into it) and *SM74: Extreme Edition* (the probably hardest ROM-hack with very unique levels)

'New Mario Bros.' is simply a graphical reskin of 'Mario Bros. Classic', released for the NES in Europe, based on 'Kaettekita Mario Bros.' for the FDS. The more-modern physics are present in both of those games. Both of those have graphics and intros based closer to the arcade version. The new graphics on that hack, are quite well-done, though.

Oh... my god... seeing that SMB2 USA hack featuring Insane Clown Posse @2:17 reminded me of something I've been thinking about for a while. I love the original Final Fantasy Tactics and have even beaten the enhanced port on my previous smartphone. When I found out that the PS1 original could be hacked after seeing stuff like Journey of the Five and the various custom stuff on the Final Fantasy Hacktics site, it got me thinking about doing an FFT hack, that involved... get ready for this... Ariana Grande getting sucked into the world of Ivalice, meeting both new and old characters, and fighting a new Ivalician threat and the whole thing is kind of a satire of Celebrity appearances in video games. Yeah... that sounds very out there... and it's only a vision that I keep having... but I want to create my own Rom hacks one day with a well skilled team... a man can dream...

Mario 2 is a rom hack of Doki Doki Panic, and by some reason the abilities became official for other mario games like Super Mario 3D world.

Doki Doki Panic was actually going to be Super Mario Bros 2 in all countries but due to a temporary collaboration with the company that made the DDP characters it had to be reworked. Eventually Nintendo's original vision was able to surface in Japan as Super Mario USA. I'm not sure if this is true now, but that _is_ how I remember _hearing_ it.

Man, I remember being much younger playing mario crossover, being like 8 or 9, playing it, and i played it until my dads computer got fucked up because of my brother, and the next computer couldnt run it at 60fps, so i stopped playing it. Ant on Super Mario Land: "It's wild seeing this game with more than four colors." Fast forward to 2021, and a full-on remake for the Super NES called "New Super Mario Land" where the creator rebuilt SML from the ground up for the SNES, using a New Super Mario Bros soundfont for the music and the same prerendering techniques Donkey Kong Country 1-3 uses to put DS graphics on the SNES. It even plays better too; the jumps work a lot better and it even has the triple jump and wall jump, too. I've never gone back to the Game Boy version since discovering that game.
