I'm fused from T3 through S1 and C5/6 & C6/7, none of these videos tell you the real pain you go through. I hate when a PA or physician try to tell you how you feel when they haven't most of the time never been through it.
@bethhivley26334 ай бұрын
T3 to S1? How are you even able to move? Who on earth would ever do that? That is literally almost your entire spine. You had to have meant L3 to S1?
@tamn94464 ай бұрын
I love how they talk about it like it’s not a crazy invasive surgery. They need to tell you there’s a high probability your nerve damage will not heal and the purpose of the surgery is to stop progression into paralysis. Your pain may be worse, but you will be able to move. You will never be the same. Take a lot of time to complete therapy. If you go back to work too early, you will make it worse down the line. Drink a lot of water to hydrate the discs. Be prepared for a future fusion or potential reconstruction if your condition is degenerative. Good luck.

Thank you for this video, I had cervical surgery ACDF on levels c3/c4 & c4/c5. After this procedure i was suffering pain as one might imagine, I have had spinal problems since 2013 and had a previous ACDF on level c5/c6. Because of my long standing pain history I have been on many opioids and was given ketamine after this latest procedure because of my tolerance to meds, I complained of head aches and arm aches plus blurred vision post op both a new symptom. They removed the ketamine because they thought this was to be the cause, A neurologist gave me a very brief examination and said I had a stroke during my surgery. I had many different doctors including my spinal team and I heard the phrase Horners. After 2 ct & 2 mri scans with each having a contrast on 1 scan. I was then told I have horners syndrome which I have never heard of, I’m still suffering from eye issues but the strangest thing is non sweating on the affected side. They think the cause was pressure from the tool which opened my neck, I had a cage fitted in the procedure. All the videos are good to watch as no one I know has heard of Horners. I had this procedure in the uk, it is very different approach here, I had about 12 metal staples and was an inpatient for 4 weeks.

@@Christinesobsevations Thank you, but I'm having another facet joint injection on the 27th of this month to try to help with right arm pain. But thank you for your comment, I will also be seeing a cardiothoracic surgeon for a rib issue, then hopefully I will get my lower back, right hip, right knee. Depending on how old you are and where you are located I will be Steve Austin, or the 6 million dollar man. You have to laugh or you'll cry. 😂 Lol

Im now 2 weeks post op. I got super sick, vomiting, diarrhea, fever. Lasted 4 days. Very challenging vomiting with the neck surgery. Neck still swollen today day 14. I can eat, swallow.
@leereid42999 ай бұрын
I think pulling the neck drain early caused just way more swelling than necessary.
