Madrappernutz learning where to chop a sample just comes with experience. My advice: chop the sample on the chords. You’ll be able to find more melodies when your chops start at the beginning of a chord

time stretching is your best friend. you can find out the original sample bmp, lets say is 80,,, time stretching can make it 85 or 90 i first have to trim the sample with continuous play back to make sure it smooth from beginning to end. dope as beat,,, keep it funky bro.

Good work. Instead of working with just small loops off the sample try picking just small sounds out the sample use all 16 pads and put small sounds from the sample on each pad. That way you can actually flip the sample instead of just looping pieces. always remember a good flip is when you can no longer identify where the sample came from. Otherwise you are just remixing songs. Keep up the good work. 👍

Fortune Agomo using the tap tempo button make sure you have the sample playing and just hit the tap tempo when you hear the kick and snare. Keep doing it and it’ll show you the tempo of the sample on the screen.
