What is Anthem? Anthem is a looter shooter game by Bioware the creators of Mass Effect and Dragon age. In anthem you drive Exo suits called "Javelins". At the moment there are a total of 4 javelins in Anthem the "Interceptor", "Ranger",Storm" and "Colossus" javelin! If it’s covering distance you can spam the flight melee dodge the same as you do the melee jump dodge.. also just spam dodge while in flight to regain shield the ads won’t be able to hit you while dodging... if you master flying you can do it indoors too.

Hey man loving these vids, keep it up =D One question though: I can't seem to do the double dodge after the big jump-melee-melee-tripledodge-melee-doubledodge combo. How fast do you have to be hitting dash after the third melee in that combo? I can do the entire thing up to the triple dodge, then when I hit the third melee I just fall down and can't cancel it with a dodge

U need to do melee jumps because if u do regular jumps the dodge will be on cooldown, also remember to hold the dodge button :)

Shit man I was struggling with this till I read this comment. Had no clue I could just Hold the dodge button. I was triple tapping all my dodges. Now able to do the full combo and just need to make it second nature. Geez I feel dumb

Can you explain the melee jump in depth? What buttons need to be pressed in order to preform? On console and pc would be great!

u press the melee button then the jump button its pretty simple, people have different keybinds so that why I didnt point out those things, as for console I am not sure what the buttons are cuz am on pc

Are you aware that you can perform three horizontal dodges for each vertical jump after a very brief delay? This yields a total of 9 horizontal dashes without touching the ground that goes SUBSTANTIALLY farther than this method. Additionally, you aren’t granted I-frames on melees in the air, so using the additional dodges allows for MUCH greater javelin longevity. I will note that the melee jumping you demonstrated is an excellent way to drop to the ground quickly from a distance as opposed to just falling, or a tool to cancel your tempest strike if an enemy dies/moves out of the way before it lands. If you already know this, than I apologize for the lengthy explanation, but I figured it would be a part of this guide if you did.

I think u are a very smart man chase, so why would you think I would put such an advanced tactic in a basics video 🤔, yes this is something I already knew, however its a tactic that takes basic and advanced movement mechanics to be learned first, which is why I didnt place it in this video :) thanks for ur feedback though, in fact ill give u a shout out when I showcase this tactic since u are the first interceptor I have seen that uses this tactic as well :)

The Salvaje Cartel its a whole lot simpler than the melee canceling you showed in the video. It is literally just jump, 3 dashes, .75 second delay - rinse and repeat 3 times. Much simpler and greater distance.

@@chasecoleman8639 mhmm yea I tried out ur tactic but its honestly really useless for close to ground combat and close to ground movement, only practical for covering long distances from high point and even then its not even practical because the last dodge needed after melee takes a while therefore slowing down your overall speed, I rather sacrifice distance over speed, and in gm2+ is all about speed and practicality. Thanks for the tips though.

Fastest way to cover distance is not this.... its just, Jump > dash > melee > jump etc.. the momentum from the dash cancel is much much faster. Waiting for 3 dashes is very slow.
