Tempest strike & venom bomb only works. U can put plasma star & no tempest also but U loose 2 mucth power.I say all that cuz U didn't say anything about recharge man.So if U wanna do some real damage & fast & again & again cuz i play solo U can't wait for 20" or 12" or 11". Witch is all the other powers.plus : my opinion if they must change something is the colossus ALL Javelin & powers zero fun only for slow tank kids.lol.

Fantastic vid. Didn’t know what to do with myself when trying the interceptors first but now I understand. Interceptors mobility really is one of its best strengths. Your ability to speed from one enemy to the next or close distances with tough elites is so key to damage and survivability. So far I’m finding that it’s most crucial to knock out elites and turrets asap to be successful in strongholds and such so a frost interceptor build for those moments will be key to the group

I'm gonna be honest, you put waaaaaay too much work into these videos, they are so quality I had to double check to see if you were part of the dev team. While I personally enjoy these types of in-depth videos, you may not see the return on time invested. It might suit you to cut this into 3 parts Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced tutorials because KZbin as a platform would rather people watch three videos than one. Still this is some of the most informative content I've seen in years

Oh so you have played the game then? And realize that like he stated in this video, a lot of the info isnt useful anymore because of balancing, and that the combo system is More in depth then what he goes into (which is fine since this video isnt about that) and this gives you as much as the game itself, I think videos like this are great and I would love if more people joined in creating videos like this for the game in the future, comments like yours that are half ass kissing and half "do it this way because it's just better" are unneeded and need to remain untyped

Cyro Glaive and Venom Spray is where it's at. Plenty of combo detonations and long enough CDs that don't cramp your style by readying up too early when you're in a frenzy. You're even effective against both blue and yellow HP with these two abilities. Although Cyro Glaive doesn't deal much damage by itself, and while blue shielded enemies are immune to status effects, it's possible and common enough for your glaive to freeze an enemy nearby a blue HP unit... which can be detonated for bonus ice damage on the shield. The upgraded version of the glaive also comes withan instant ice detonation which provides additional damage, bringing it from low damage to moderate damage. Oh and this guy said a lot of inaccurate things... The status effects applied by the Interceptor combo effect aura DO NOT prime targets and therefore can't be "continuously detonated". And the acid bomb is an obvious choice, but saying it's good at destroying groups is inaccurate. It does virtually no damage and serves almost entirely as a primer. It's easier to use than Venom Spray which is why it's more popular, but it's much weaker. Acid bomb does come out on top in team settings for its ease of use but against tough opponents I don't pleb-out and pick Acid Bomb just because it's easy to lob. In comparison, Venom Spray does about x6 to x7 instant damage per use than Acid Bomb. It's worth noting the melee "classes" benefit greatly from abilities that don't demand a lot of your focus. Short cooldowns aren't always better. It means less time maneuvering or stacking up damage just for the sake of a pretty flourish provided by an ability that is less useful than 3 seconds of melee damage. Yet another reason why Cryo Glaive and Venom Spray win. Effective use per cooldown. More focus on the task at hand.

I understand what you’re saying here to the video creator and if I wasn’t so ABSOLUTELY sure Anthem will be MASSIVE for years to come with a fiercely loyal fan base I’d agree. HOWEVER! lol... ...Channel 5 is doing a wicked fuckin job creating these videos n guides not just for ransoms or semi fans but dare I say those of us who live n breathe Anthem all of a sudden. Lol. The community n vibe of what Anthem is becoming reminds me SO much of what I loved so much about Destiny before D2 plopped out. Great video as always. I just wanted to add in a few things which I just became aware of. the interceptor can be frozen mid ultimate which I hope is a bug. I was battling a end mission Titan boss on hard mode and he was chain summoning elementals, it was chaos and the hardest fight I have experienced so far, especially as a interceptor as there was no way to get in to melee as the titan would one shot you and the elementals you couldn’t melee as they explode with elemental damage freezing or setting you on fire. Using my ultimate on the titan (which is near useless since he is invulnerable to damage 85%of the time and half that time his weak spots are in the air and to hard to hit with melee/ultimate anyways) but I would get frozen over and over. While i wasn’t taking damage it was wasting ultimate time and even got me killed once as when i went to jump out of combat before my ultimate ended I got chain frozen until my ultimate ended. hard battle, wiped 10 times i’d say. Thankfully the group was persistent and helped each other best we could.

One thing to keep in mind is that the spark dash on the demo was bugged In the full game it does go to the target you are aiming at You essentially become a heat seeking missile

I really enjoyed the cryo plus venomspray combo, prime the guys and get the combo with ur daggers, waveclear over the top and venomspray is also quite usefull against shielded enemies. choos a closecombat weapon like smg or shotgun plus sniper with it and it worked out quite well for me

I was wondering why this wasn't discussed. Cryoglaive something weak, get in with the daggers to detonate and get the aura, freeze the armored thing and acid spray prime it. Then slay with your combo ice/acid aura.

fighting is such a pain, with the Interceptor, sometimes. you can't see what you're fighting half the time, because it's not even in the screen, you can't see anything further than 5 meters from you. there must be a way to see what you're doing, or who your killing, or where you're going. an auto-centering system would be ideal.

For me much like the charge venom sprays biggest weakness is that it shoots where your character is facing and not where you are aiming making it clunky and annoying I sure hope they look at changing this

With everything I know so far about interceptor it seems the strongest way to go is 2 primers. Given the 4 primer abilities 2 acid, Cryo glaive and DS all set up your melee for combos.

I noticed that during your combat, you perform this rapid dash slash in-between melee hits, you can see it done a lot at around 50 seconds to a minute in the video, you seem to be darting around enemies and closing distances a lot more efficiently than I was. Is there a specific way to do that?

Just a quick question: does the Interceptor's dodge really gives it damage reduction/immunity? Because I haven't noticed any of the sort. Or I just misunderstood and its really avoiding damage via movement?

If I remember correctly, I was told it's shields recharge faster while moving.

@@ascentlx4222 yes, its the intecrptors unique ability for shields that it regends faster if sprinting. Just as Storm's shield regens/stronger while hovering and flying. As it turns out, interceptor dodge is an , so I was correct :)

Really like this jav but the audio for its mele needs a change. Their is little to no feedback and meaty feel of the mele. My biggest draw back. It dosent feel as "epic" as the other Javs outside of flying and mobility.

Hmm well these are Daggers after all. Meant to be more of a "shwink shwink" sound and feel. I think all the melee abilities have thier own little quirks that make them unique. Personally I like the silent assassin approach compared to the Colossus loud entrance THWOMP>

OMG GUYS!! stop complaining before playing.... maybe u need 3 months to complete ypur lvl 30 player with ur prefered javelin an ALL content played once? who knows? NOBODY because the game is NOT OUT YET! also fyi: the game clearly looks like a destiny and diablo hybrid! all what ppl do is wanting it to be something else. it has different skills for different situations and different team settings, maybe just one totally OP build like in Diablo3? so what? diablo was/is a top game after all and even now ppl playing the same content (just randomly put together by the server for map/mobs) for 6 years now! features/items come and go, same as its promised here. we dont even know the FULL SCALE of the legendary/masterwork items yet. maybe there will be a ladder for dungeons? maybe the fnig world turns upside down and u fight creatures from other dimensions? 5 Primary, 5 secondary, 2 support, 1 melee, 1 ultimate. Those are all the abilities for launch, confirmed. Hence why I am showcasing them now. Otherwise I would have waited for release for the full list. I want you to compare to Destiny, Borderlands 2, Vermintide 2, or any other looter shooter for a moment. Most of those games have ONE primary ability + guns. That's all. I think this game is giving us tons of options to begin with. Also consider this could easily be expanded on later. I personally think it would be amazing to eventually see Melee abilities as drop equips like everything else in the future. Imagine the interceptor having venom blades that prime targets, allowing tempest strike and spark dash to get more play. Or the colossus having a Fire Sword which can be used with his shield up... Then secondary ultimate's would be cool too. I would love to see the interceptor get a ranged ultimate allowing her to throw out a bunch of boomerangs or something. Give it time, the game will develop further. For a brand new IP this is plenty for release.

@@syncros4142 People aren't taking into account that these abilities have only been seen in uncommon and rare forms for the most part. The fact that they choose to make so many things drops in the game and not set in stone ability trees means there's always the option to add more. NOT too mention the fact that these skill will also have MW and Legendary forms, I've already seen some cool stuff, and like I said, they are all drops, so it's very easy for them to add more abilities more weapons more systems, more everything really....
