Either you camp behind your shield acting as a decoy whimpering hoping someone to kill stuff because you can't use weapons when shielding which is pointless or you are being shredded by enemies like a tin can looks like you have lots of hp but you don't i remembered the gameplay where colossus ran over several mines with his shield up to "disarm" them YE WRONG GAME in the demo i tried same shit and at the second mine i was out of shield and lost some hp so good luck with that better chice was to just fly over them i felt betrayed there i was hoping for a massive tank and i got a masive tincan with weird shield mechanic instead of actual shield bar xD

It looks like it’s either on easy or normal but the colossus does have a higher learning curve then the other javelins. It’s an active tank, meaning you gotta use your shields and support ability at the right times but even then you cannot simply stand in the open and soak hits forever. Being close range also helps a ton as you’ll be want to pick up health drops while you continue to tank mobs. Using the colossus’s jump + melee is very helpful since it knocks all enemies near you down, allowing you to dps, pick up health, recharge your shield, or run away. Once you get use to how the colossus plays they are a lot of fun.

First Last weirdly I learned that from an anime on Netflix. martians who are technically people the split apart started attack earth with technology advance mechs. The people of earth couldn’t stand much of a chance. The main character was in high school training to use one at the time and the training mechs were bright orange. Well fast forward a bit and he’s skill several Martians by himself. His training mech got destroyed and when they gave him a new one he requested specific weapons and wanted bright orange. When asked why he said to purposely make him the target.

The Light can be controlled though. The Fallen used to, the Guardians do now. The Traveler tried to leave and something stopped it. (theory is Rasputin shot it down, i believe?) Ghaul tried to control the Light by force, and look how that turned out. Light chooses it's wielder. It brings prosperity to the Guardians. Light is good. The Anthem is entirely uncontrollable. It kills people. The Anthem is bad.

I love using the colossus, with my play style I've always been then tank. So when I had the chance to use it then I was onboard with it. It felt like a perfect situation cause as I was getting agressive I started pushing back the enemy and even though at first he was more squishy I still managed to carry my team with it and pick them up and cover them as others pick them up. My proudest moment was when it was me fighting the monitor on a stronghold back on the start of gm3 while my whole team died. I managed to kill it and get the rewards. Since that day I chose to play quick strongholds on any difficulty to help others out. And overtime I maxed out my abilities and was even greater than before. Unfortunately now there aren't as many people around as much as before. But still I continue to push forward with my colossus to and complete the mission, not just for me but for that random that kept dying. It was great times, who knows eat the future holds though...

The AA/Anti-personnel positions seem quite good and there is a extremely turbulent mid atmosphere. Flight over 1,500 feet is very limited. Look to the US Navy Phalanx CIWS

@xmeany You want a detailed answer? Here you go: the game brings nothing new to the table. Not worth paying 60 bucks when I can have the same with Warframe for free. Also, the story begins with a huge plothole. The supposed last free city that's heavily militarized doesn't know anything about scouting and are surprised by a force that's been marching on them for weeks... with walkers larger than an AT-AT... In a high-tech environment, they don't have any cameras or sensors out in the forest to catch intruders. The ancient Gaulic tribes would have noticed that army several days before they could have a chance of attacking the city. No, I'm not giving this game a chance because the gameplay is boring (which I've seen from watching on Twitch for hours), the story is far from engaging (not something I expect from Bioware which you call old hero complex, and I and everyone else calls going downhill as far as writing is considered), also it's EA so it's going to be chock-full of microtransactions. Nah, I'll pass.

You'll like it. Even after the grfx downgrade it's still gorgeous and it plays smooth. The battles are heavy and long and missions are best played with others as it can be overwhelming. Playing solo is ok for freeplay exploration though. The sounds in Anthem are awesome and the enemies are smart and with many. I'm not a fan of Destiny and Mass Effect but I love Warframe and this is basically WF but with Javelins instead of Tenno and the maps are huge.

Was this the VIP demo? Not only do you have a squad hud on the left hand side when you’re out on Expeditions, you even have it in Fort Tharsis (along with a quick launch option). The free demo this weekend had none of that and believe me it was sorely needed. Trying to determine when a teammate was down is difficult when you’re not notified and it’s a small red icon among all the particle effects. They definitely took a page out of BF5’s terrible revive system in their beta haha.

Well, looks like a nice game. I think the problem tho is that many of us are scared to like it, and when we don't want to like something, we find all the reasons. EA on the other side, has shown over and over again that in their eyes, loyalty and our dedication toward this or that IP means nothing other than they are only various levels of addiction. I don't think they account for our intellectual preferences in their financial models which sadly means that sooner or later, even this will inevitably turn into a damn casino. They simply don't have any other formula to guide the sustainability of this. This game much like warframe, wow, diablo and destiny has too much potential, and look what's happening there, wow is devolving, warframe is fragmented with almost nothing holding the integrity of the game together, new things no matter how good don't piece the big picture together but rather stack up on top of eachother. Destiny is back to square 1 with everything and diablo's development is completely forsaken. So I highly doubt someone who intends this to be a casino has the vision to commit to its full realization, and have it be worth our time, attention and money.

The game is constantly being criticized yet after playing it I'm fucking in love with this game, this is why I don't value other people's opinions because I could have missed out on a great game. The only cons I can think of is the matchmaking (three rangers and a storm against the Tyrant wasn't fun) and my PS4 kept crashing when shit got to, "Mayhem-ish", two storms ultimates and a Colossus ultimate at the same time. I'm really enjoying my time with the demo. Most of my concerns have been addressed for the full game, but there's still tons of room for improvement. Honestly, I'd more than happily drop $80 for the Legion of Dawn Edition. And if the game doesn't turn into a total cash-grab, I have no problem with shelling out more money as a way of saying "Good job EA. This is the way to go". But, knowing EA's track record, I'm not holding my breath.

I'll cop this game in 4-6 month when the glitches and in-game econony will be fixed. Hope for Bioware that EA didn't meddle too much with Anthem although it wouldn't surprise me since it is their non-sport flagship title of 2019 (in my knowledge). Edit: Dat downgrade tho

Pros from the demo: Gameplay is fun, love the verticality and the way you can move freely. The way you shoot and use habilities is quite fun. The base idea has potential. Cons from demo: The story feels so shallow, there are no memorable characters If we compare, Destiny at lauch had way more of story and characters that you would know who they are.. Despite the huge maps, it feels empty after a while. The way the enemy AI works it's confusing, most times i felt that the developers just decided to make hordes of enemies and that's it. The UI (HUD, but mostly menu) needs some work, I felt quite a bit lost for a while because you have to do too many steps to reach some areas of the menu. They had Destiny and Warframe as two perfect case studies and they still deliver a promising but bland product.
