The focus is on what their new engines do well; combat. It looks like a lot of fun in that regard, and a better story is easier to implement in a patch or expansion than better base gameplay. If Anthem ends up being critically strong with poor sales not only will the IP likely die, but it'll be a clear message to publishers that they should keep their monetization measures heavy handed and prevalent because the old fashioned model of selling games doesn't make money.

if looter shooters are something you enjoy, then this game will be great for you. It's a lot like Diablo in the sense that the goal of the game is to get the best gear you can get in the game. If that kind of gameplay isn't your cup of tea then you should probably get the game when it's on discount or get it if you have money to spare and want to try out something new. If you want to get it, I recommend waiting until news about the game's monetization is released to get a gist of how the game is going to be.

I've been a Destiny player since it's inception way back. There hasn't been anything like destiny really so I'm actually really looking forward to anthem. Been keeping up to date and don't get me wrong Destiny is my Jam but this looks deeper and I'm up for that. Competition is healthy. This video was a very cool one. Ive played warframe and I didn't stick with it because it just isn't my kind of grind but I did grind and play for the story because I was told it was an amazing one. And it was and I'm glad I gave it a shot. Destiny 2 was a let down for me. The magic is gone after 4 years , that game is a boring one so anthem coming out is perfect for me. Games in the same genre can co exist. I also want to see what destiny could learn from anthem if bioware is aware of destinys mistakes but it will be cool to see has anthem pulled from destiny too. Been playing this with my kids all weekend. Just wanted to pop in here and give props on creating a fantastic game! We are all loving it. The flight/jumping/movement is all outstanding. Animations are superb and the game play feels crisp and impactful. Love the progression system too. Easily our new favorite game and well on its way to topping that list overall for me. Just love it! Well, to be honest interceptor looks agile and fun to play, but at the same time melee attack looks kinda unfinished, no melee combos, you're locked in melee animation even after enemy kill, etc.

My 1 and only concern is story, the thing Bioware is known for, but we have seen next to nothing of. I was a huge fan of Halo's rich story when I bought Destiny. I learned my lesson. Hello Bioware, I played Anthem's demo on the PC over the weekend, and I'd like to share with them a couple of suggested improvements for the PC version of Anthem. The game was a lot of fun, but there is a lot to work on. (I am neither a so-called "hater" nor a fanboy, I am neutral and just want the anthem to be good) I have been a gamer for over 15 years. I've been playing World of Warcraft for over 10 years, playing Diablo 3 for a long time, and have been active in The Division 1 for a long time. Your game has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, some things are not implemented well or are missing completely what their game will lessen on the short or long in quality. I'm from Germany and my english is not that good, so I use the * google translator * a bit. I think with English my chance is higher that you hear me. So please excuse my bad English. Please internalize my bullet points and try to take some into the final game. The community will thank you. Let's get started: - Minimap Why is there no minimap on the upper left side? Insert a minimap into Anthem so that you can see his loot and the enemies on the map as in Diablo 3 or The Division. This ensures a better overview. The compass alone is simply not enough - we need a minimap. - Text chat Why is there no text chat? A text chat is very important for players to negotiate in certain situations. Not everyone has a headset. Not everyone wants to talk. Not everyone can speak English perfectly. Not everyone wants to be yelled at by little children. Where would The Division or Diablo 3 be today without a text chat? Where would World of Warcraft be today without a text chat? You know the answer. The games would not be so good. There would be something missing. So please add a text chat. - Loading time Why do you have to put up with long loading times because of little things? Please change that. Other developers can do it too. - Ford Taris Why is one often at the bottom of the base after a mission or expedition? I would like to always stand in front of my Javelin after a mission or an expedition and not go through the whole base. Also I would like to run / race in Ford Taris. - Loot Bag Why do you only see what you got on loot after a mission or an expedition? Would not it be better if players could look into their pockets within a mission or expedition and see what they got? - Javelin change / customization Why can not you change your character (Javelin) in a running mission? Maybe I'd rather fight a boss with a sniper rifle instead of an assault rifle? Maybe I need another ability to help my team better? Please think about it. - HUD (group) Why are not the names of my group members displayed in the HUD? (For example, below links) I do not see who in my group is, how much life a team member has and if a team member may need help. Please change that. You have to be able to see his teammates on the screen. If a developer has read up to here, I would like to say thank you very much for the time and hope now really very much that at least a couple of points are taken. Besides The Division 2, Anthem would be a great second main game for me. Anthem, as I said, has great potential, so please take advantage of this potential and make Anthem even bigger and better. The players will thank them. You can compensate for the higher costs because of me by a large real money shop (compensate). I do not have a problem with that. As long as the things from the real money shop are only cosmetic nature, I am right. Simply comparing the playable space, Anthem is more like the open-world PoE in Warframe, but larger. That means it blows anything Destiny has ever offered, in both shell titles, out of the water. One can twll, simply by visual comparison that the world of Anthem is more detailed, enriched, and diverse, than the linear-open areas in Destiny games. I’m going to stop there. Its a TRAP. Have some self control and at least wait a couple of weeks. Hype is not a good thing it is used to get you to buy into something blindly. Stand up for your selves and be a good consumer. It helps us all move towards a goal of better games and better company practices. Dont fall for the Hype trap, the cycle is a repeating one.

I'm definately hyped for this game, especially after this "Trailer", but I'll wait. I have a feeling this will actually be a good game, without heavy microtransactions and with actually fun gameplay (this is coming from someone who thought the alpha freeplay stream they did was horrible) and really unlike other EA games. But still, it's EA, so I'll wait. At least two weeks post-launch.

i feel like a lot of switching up combat is on the gamer seeing that you can create different classes and customize them so much for different play styles. 4 different mechs and 4 classes for each, thats a lot. They have already shown that having different enemies and wild life to fight will not be an issue.

@@Mayorofsexytown1303 a lot of it is up to the player, but it also depends on the game too. From what I've seen Anthem's combat should be good but I'm still wary. I'm worried that it might just end up being apply status effect -> detonate effect -> shoot bad guy -> repeat. If the the attacks and combos are different enough then I'm sure each fight will be fun, but if there is little difference between fire damage or lightening damage for example, then it'll get boring because it won't matter which you choose.

@@anim3z4u Currently there is no proof. Just promises, and they can just as easily be broken. It's EA so unless they have let Bioware take full control of their game, marketing and monetisation then for now we can look to what had happened previously and be sceptical at best. I'm hopeful the Bioware are willing to put their foot down to foster a community rather than go with the typical EA and wring out the wallets of the easily fooled.
