Incoming wall of text; In the past I have done this. I know i'm not a saint though it was deffinately a learning experience for me. I also only used creatures other players had numerous chances to use like the type-H and Magna before it's first re-work. Those were creatures all available to players during special developer updates to let people try the creatures for a limited time. It was just found simply editing an open file in the database allowed you to change your creature. No sketchy injections or major file editing. It was literally a text file you could open in notepad. The database was then locked down to not allow players access to these OP creatures. THIS however is genuinely an injection hack / mod that unlocks previously locked creatures. It actually unlocks EVERY creature. I have never played as the type-N under any circumstance and it's been over a year since i've been a type-M. From what people have told me it's also the owner of a previous server known for things like this that has gotten in trouble before releasing this. If that's true then they know this is wrong. Either way; I strongly suggest you avoid the server / servers running these mods. They break TOS/TOU with injection even if they work. They are not official isle modificiations. Even if the creatures have been disabled you put yourself at risk for a virus or publisher bans. I've deliberately waited nearly two weeks to publish this video to wait for the creatures / the "hack" to be updated and either removed entirely or changed to suit the ToS more. I simply agree, to do something like this isn't right, sometimes going against the grain is fine, but that server is a clear upfront to the developers, like a slap in the face. The devs wanted this stuff staying outta the normal game and hacking something just because you're too impatient to wait is straight up not cool. The game was not intended to be played this way, evident by them completely removing mod support, so what gives these people the right to do this, it's like stealing and they could accidentally break the game if they aren't careful, thats all I've gotta say on this issue, but nice vid regardless, being a community pillar as always Anth

Although I started playing this year, I think this has to be the quietest period I have ever seen in the isle. I only know that because I watched older vids from different up loaders including anth. Hopefully one day I'll see a hypo in game and watch it terrorise the whole map. here's hoping.

I don't agree with hacking the game, but it's obvious, people hungry for updates, and you can't really blame them, I know re-code takes alot of time and effort, but it's been months. People are getting impatient because they're not transparent with the recode of the game. They said that they will keep us updated and actually the only thing we had was animations. That doesn't say anything about the re-code and usually you give your player base an ETA so they don't get impatient like right now... the guy that made the mod is talented and he probably knows every crack of the game and more updates will come on that mod.

@@Allgunnerpro If you've been following the isle since day 1 like I have, you know these devs do not give ETAs. As they said, many times, giving an exact date unintentionally encourages them to rush out updates that are unpolished or untested. They also don't want to disappoint people by promising a date and then being unable to deliver. Long waits are hard, but they delivered since day one and will continue to do so without ETAs. Btw, the animations ARE progress. If you watch Bryan's streams you get an idea of how long animating an extinct creature takes...and he's working on a bunch right now, not just the ones previewed.

Animation and modeling takes a long time, yes, but not years for one animal. At most, one dinosaur should take 2 weeks for skins, texturing, modeling, animation and thats on an AVERAGE developer.

I'm going to be honest because I feel like this needs to be said, personally I believe this to be entirely the Dev's fault. In no way shape or form should you ever give public eye to a part of the game that is incomplete, i.e. Hypos, Nuras and Magna. If a project won't be done for a span over a month, than don't show it to the public, especially when it's something your game thrives on like new characters, a different growth system, etc. I understand the Dev's are trying to build hype for the game however, interest in that hype can only last so long until people start to either not care or find a way to gain access to what was shown. The Dev's haven't even given Sandbox users the incomplete dinosaurs and why would they not? It's not like anyone cares what happens in Sandbox, if you die then you can just come back and basically lose nothing besides the location you were at. Hypo dinosaurs aren't going to do much harm in a server that is entirely dedicated to fun and goofiness. Bottom line, if you are going to show the public new things and build hype, make sure that those new things are the next thing to come to the game in some way shape or form rather than just saying "Yeah it'll come EVENTUALLY". That is the sign of a Dev that doesn't understand how to show off a game, keep the player base controlled and interested. NOTE: I do not hate the Dev's of The Isle, I do not hate the game nor the content within the game, this is simply my opinion and what I think needs to be handled differently in the future.

Odds are something about it will change in the future just like everything else has. I mean look at the Rex alone, that thing has had like three new model updates. If the Dev's want The Isle to thrive as a dinosaur survival game they need to step up their game and fix the way they do things, otherwise the upcoming Path of Titans game is going to blow them out of the water.

Honestly I can’t really blame anyone for doing this mainly because the devs haven’t updated the game or give date for when one is coming , regardless I do agree with anth on this since it violates the TOS, I haven’t been playing the game for months and have been waiting for the update and at this point I don’t even think it’s coming just because I have yet to see anything having to do with it on streams or on the forums. I understand the re-code hell. However, that cannot remain an excuse forever to appease such a large base of people. Let's just peek back into the updates (that matter and are serious) -July 18, Deino animation preview -May 13 Survival stego preview -March 28 Ptera animation preview -March 21 The Recode is declared. That's not a lot to keep people hyped. March - Aug. Six months of nothing being *released*. Just: Hey look at these models! Great, they DO look amazing! But I would believe the recode, which was announced in MARCH, should be a primary focus. Not saying it's -not-. But from the outside looking in, it doesn't look that way. Honeslty...Dondi had this coming for a while. This has happened before back in 2017 when people managed to hack in the quetz and had a massive event on there. How is this surprising that people tried to hack in 5 OP HYBRID Dinosaurs that Dondi has cut off access to play for like...a year and a half. People are bound to grow desperate and impatient unfortunately. Another thing is that Dondi uses that "Its not Finished" crap to the community while he's released the UNFINISHED GAME, Rex, and other Dinosaurs itself to the public. Granted, I know very well the other reasoning of not releasing them is due to people abusing their access to the Hybrids, but there is the known option of Server Admins disabling said Dinos from the list on that specific server so people can't abuse them. In pure honesty, I don't know what to think of Dondi anymore, taking sides is just a waste of energy and time, as well as stress inducing. I try not to get into these kinda things best I can, but sometimes I just have to speak my mind about things. If anyone has something to say about this, You're entitled to your own opinion.

The probelm with that is that the lead dev of POT was the one who deleted the files in the isle. He stole them as well and is making POT based off of those files he stole. Please don't support this kind of action.

Path of Titans has a fraction of The Isle's playerbase. The Isle's discord have nearly 40k members and a steady playercount that barely ever dips under 2,000 concurrent players despite the lack of updates, I doubt PoT will so much as put a dent in the playercount

Most games have set dates for when they drop an update, the devs either need to hire more staff or need to set their priorities and focus on whatever project is in front of them. If they did that, then the hypos would’ve been finished ages ago.

I know I don't speak for everyone, but I have been perfectly happy just seeing the teasers for the deinosuchus and new stego, and the teased new map of the isle. I keep hearing "we haven't seen anything for months and we expected it" but HONESTLY, I'm perfectly fine with waiting because they've been RECODING the ENTIRE GAME! I for one would MUCH rather they take as much time as they need to get the recode to where they need it to be than to hop into a new version of the game that may not be ready for us yet. I'd much rather play on an isle that is just as stunning and well-designed as we've imagined for the recode than something that will fall flat in the face of our expectations, and those of the developers. I'm glad that it is taking them a bit longer to get it done. They want it to be here as much (in fact, probably a WHOLE LOT MORE) than we do, but they aren't rushing it! This just means that they are being careful and thorough so they can give players the best experience possible, and that the game will have that many more finished dinos and features when the update finally arrives. I was notified of this server and played on it myself to confirm it was actually true. Didn’t feel right about it and left after about an hour but it was very interesting to see normal players play as Hypos and just sit around, talking.

Sigh, as someone who's known for well over a month about all of this before Anthomnia's little bomb allow me to enlighten everyone here: Pathos managed to make, essentially, a mod without the use of a devkit. This is common in many other modding communities before official tools come out, be it in the Witcher or Skyrim. I've downloaded both of his maps. I've played both. The Devs were informed of this THREE WEEKS AGO. This isn't news to them. They basically told Pathos "Turn off the Hyper commands and your fine." given it is two maps mods. So he did. There's no virus. There's no hacking. The only drama is Anthomnia's ignorant ♥♥♥ spreading misinformation.

I think it's so sweet that Anth has all this power with the game and refuses to betray the trust of his friends. And I also think its sweet the dev's trust him enough to show him and know he wont share anything without their permission. Their friendships just make my heart swell. The thing is what doesn't make sense is that they tell us about all these update and things like that, but why can't they fix their current dinosaurs? Like for instance, we're supposed to be getting the crocodile however there's other dinosaurs that need fixing and implementing such as the alberto and acro, dinos like that. I personally feel like they should do mini update first before one giant update for the player base to be left satisfied, at least that way the players know that the devs are doing some work. I really used to love the isle but I haven't played it in a while because ther'es no updates at all and it is annoying too. They should fix their current dinos before the re-code atleast. Priorities their current dino's in sandbox and then maybe start doing the re-code and atleat things will come in good time. Its complicated because they either: A. Rush things and that leaves things un optimised or not really playable. B. Release an update that's not genuinely that big but we have to wait atleast 7-10 months. Its understandable that the devs work very hard and I can assure you that they are... But I feel like they should priorities other areas beforehand to ensure a smooth update. That's just me, I'm not sure if everybody else agrees.

A game about playing as dinosaurs really shouldn't have people with guns/car/ect.. that's too op in my honest opinion, but yeah, I do wonder what happened with that project along with the millions of other projects that were "coming soon" to the game.

I've recently joined the discord server of these people who managed to mod in the Mutants, though the Admins have stated that the mutants were being spawned in Weeks ago. And they removed them after kindly being asked to do so by the developers. They are a kind and understanding group, please do not give any hate or false rumors about them.

A week ago- I did not know about this or anything like it, I saw that server on Frozen North. Thing is, I couldn't get in- I was missing a mod package. Friend had similar experience, but map was Oasis. That was after modding was disabled, as well. So, this has gone on for some time.

I mean, hacking isn't the answer but I think you could see why people would do it. They're desperate for even the slightest insight on the new recode or updates. I mean, the cannibals and humans just seemed to have gone out the window. Last I saw of them was from TheGamingBeaver back in like, 2016-2017. What's the point of having these big, powered hypos and such if average players, who basically make up most of The Isle's community, won't be able / don't have access to them? I mean I can see why Path Of Titans' community is skyrocketing recently, they have a channel that updates on their models and animations and maps almost weekly so you can see what's being added to the game, the discord is very active and the updates and future additions are very transparent, but that's irrelevant right now. This isn't just some out of the blue hacking, people are seriously wanting new information on the updates, wanting to know about these new dinosaurs/maps/mechanics etc. And, if i'm honest I wouldn't be surprised if all of the sudden when the hype is so high that they're just thrown in the trash and forgotten about, because that basically is what happened with the cannibals. At the end of the day, this probably would've bewn inevitable. People are just happy and unhappy at the same time. I just hope the recode/update can fill the slot of so many previous 'coming *eventually*'s. Quick Edit: Jesus, didn't realize how long I had ranted on for. Hold on a second, I barley know that much about what you (the average player) can a can't play as so if im wrong about anything, please inform me. I thought I heard someone say you have to pay to play as certain dinosaurs and some of the dinosaurs you cant even play as at all. So if this is true, you are telling me i am waiting just to see only the retarded devs get to use the so called "special" dinosaurs that we have been waiting to see for a while. Yet again, smh.

I don't think the recode is coming anytime soon, dondi doesn't care about his game and just keeps slacking off like playing games like gta for hours and hours. But you should go check out a game called path of titans, its a beautiful dino game that is being released in february and early access is coming in december,I am very hyped for that game because the devs are working very fast and hard and they are getting things done very fast they have developed 2 new dinos in 2 weeks.

I don’t blame the people who did this, since we have to wait literally years to get a decent update, BUT the developers of the game who MADE those dinos said that we have to wait to try those first and don’t ruin everyone’s excitement so they kinda messed that up... They did something they shouldnt’ve done but i can understand why they did it
