I was just doing something on my computer and all I hear is the most unsettling thing I’ve ever heard. This made me want to watch a horror movie or play a horror game. maybe... this is the ending where you follow the path of the higher ups. in the last ep, the higher ups mentioned that they wanted to collect it alive if able to, or if unable to collect its corpse for testing. if you follow through and do the bombing then maybe it gives you the ending where the red plague wins. Instead you might want to ignore the instructions and try and find the sea emperor during the early stages of the plague, that may make it switch paths to a better ending... But that's just a theory, a Game Theory!

While playing vanilla, I scanned the doomsday device and thought it would fit into the red plague's story perfectly as a ending. Destroying 4546B and the system because of how threatening the plague is would be insane but make sense, especially with the hints at the plague wanting to go space-borne.

The answer to Fermi's Paradox (ie. This is actually a vanilla mechanic, you can go right by most leviathans in a Cyclops by just going super slow and keeping the lights off. I honestly have been enjoying this mod a lot, my only criticism is that the constant jumpscares tend to take away quite a bit of the horror this mod delivers on. But, I do love the concept of The Red Plague since the Kharaa is canonically like this if left to do it's thing for way too long and this mod seems to do "horror beyond your comprehension" really well. I'm really excited to see it finished and if there are other endings as well. If any of the devs see this, my only request would be to tone down the amount of cheap jumpscares it throws at you, would be a lot more terrifying in my opinion as the tension ALONE is enough to carry the horror of this mod. But thats just my opinion, I'm really looking forward to the release and hope more get to play it in the future!

personally it makes his videos unwatchable. for a few reasons. 1 its just plain annoying to have someone scream in your ear for 20 minutes straight. 2 like you brought up its something he does for every little thing he should be very used to so it just comes off as forced and exaggerated. 3 I just hate people who constantly scream in fear over small things. i get being scared and freaking out at jumpscare scenes as that's the point of them but when you know its coming or have seen it 100 times already and still freak out then its just stupid.

Like if you go fast enough or can get tasks done that either stop bad milestone events from occurring or change their outcomes. It chases you because it had a lot of power. This is explained immediately after it attacks. There was no way for alterra to know this until you yourself confirm it by being attacked.

At the start of the run, when explaining the overall objective, the PDA said something like "find the sea emperor as fast as you can, we don't have much time," so it might be that you have to actually compete the story within a certain timeframe or the sea emperor gets infected, dies, and then allows everything else to be infected. I also saw someone say it might be based on following Alterra's orders versus ignoring them. Would be cool to see alternate endings!

I know the deal with the signal. They are items from early access that never got removed, you can still acquire them in you inventory through commands, but spawning them into the world usually crashes the game. I'm not sure how they managed to get a crate signal from early access in the game. Because all the signals from the item have been removed, When equipped you will get a signal marker leading you to the very center of the map, that is where it took you. I could tell by the terrain.
