Durian and jackfruit are both easily available fresh in Vancouver Canada as we have a large Asian population. Just ask at a Chinese owned produce store. They will know where to get it if they don't have it.

You got conned….you can buy portions of Durian all cut and prepared on a small tray in any market…..you don’t have to buy a whole one!

FYI……it’s strictly forbidden to take Durians into your hotel in Thailand, and most airlines will not carry them, even in the cargo hold, fact……it’s delicious but extremely fattening.
