Wow I remember a Bourdain talk when he was talking about his growth since he has written his first novel. You can tell the transformation from 2000 and I'm glad that he is where he is at now.

You can h ear his voice is clear . his later interviews slower. I think he was so talented people didnt notice. Most alcoholics get this. We know we are glib. Takes lots of energy.

Honestly Tony's interviews were quite redundant. He would tell the same story handfuls of times. Even in his last interviews, he was always repeating himself. It shows that he is a bit more rehearsed than he appears to be, maybe not as personal. For me, when he died, I realized how little I actually knew about him. Sure, I know what kinds of things he says, I know what he likes to eat, and what jokes he makes... but very little about him personally.

@Jeremy doesn't help when the questions are also redundant. watch enough of his interviews, and you start noticing a pattern of similar questions being asked of him from interviewer to another

Because there's a huge difference between 44 and 57. At one age, you're just a handful of years out of your 30s. At 57, you're almost in your 60s. I have a feeling you're probably young and don't realize what 13 years really means.

He seems nervous in front of the camera. He's come a long way. Geographically speaking, that is.
